...well, not actually funny...
if, for example the volume when i turn the computer on is 6, if i lower it to 5 then put it back to 6 again, it is quieter than the original setting of 6.
the volume is always quieter after any volume change than if it is set to the same volume at the beginning.
weird thing is that i had reformated, and that bug disappeared and now it reappeared again... and when the bug isn't there, when i have volume set to 5 the audio icon has "))" on it (you know, that speaker/megaphone icon...) and when the bug is here, when volume is on 5 the audio icon has ")" only on it.
bah.

if i remember correctly you have the "buggy" version of OSX? If you are, just upgrade and i'm sure "all" your computer problems will be solved.
