BT had SARS

When I came back [to the U.S.], I got really sick. I
didn?t know what it was.

TAN: Did you get food poisoning or something?

BT: At first, I thought it might have been food poisoning,
because I was like, this is ridiculous. I never get sick!
But I was really sick. I didn?t know what it was. I had a
104-degree fever...and like four hours later, I was totally
tripping! [laughs] I was delirious. So, I went to the
hospital, and they gave me shots, a thermal blanket...and
all sorts of shit. They didn?t know what was wrong with
me.

TAN: What was it?

BT: So, check this out! [laughs] A month ago, I?m
reading...

TAN: Don?t tell me you had SARS!

BT: Fucking yeah! [laughs] A month ago I?m reading about
SARS and how they traced it back to where it originated, to
this one guy. They traced it back to this one guy, back at
the Metropolitan Hotel in Hong Kong, to the ninth floor of
this hotel in Hong Kong, back in December. They reported
that this one guy gave it to fifteen people, and that?s how
SARS first spread.

TAN: Holy shit! You always have to be one of the first
people to do things, don?t you? [laughs]

BT: Yeah, so I?m like freaking out, and I?m going through
all my receipts, and there I was on the ninth floor of the
Metropolitan Hotel in Hong Kong in December!

TAN: Bloody hell! You were one of the first people to
contract SARS! Fucking shit. Thank the good Lord you are
alright. You?re totally healthy now, right?

BT: Yes, I?m totally fine. Thank God.

TAN: Jesus, that?s crazy.

BT: Yeah, and the crazier thing is, the doctor at the time
who examined me -- because I asked the doctor to give me
anti-SARS proteins, and he told me that there was ?no way?
that I had SARS -- the doctor later gave me a test and we
found-out that I had SARS.

I know your Reason days are behind you, but did you ever
check out that BT "Twisted Textures" refill?

He's one of those people like Richard Devine, that whilst
I'm not a big fan of their music, you have to respect their
ability to make a good synth patch.

I deard Devine got all his sounds off an old Roland

chirpping...

Richy Devine makes presets for companies. My
favourite Absyth preset is done by him.
