Has you ever had this kind of fear?

How you manage your fears?

it is something to consider

this isn't anything personal, but it says a lot about people
when the #1 virus that kills people, is 100%
preventable.....

preventing aids is easy, stop letting people chowder their
wads in your hair.

When/if you get medical/life insurance, don't mention that.
Unlike America, getting tested for aids increases your
premiums... they think that people who get tested are likely
to put themselves in danger by taking unneccessary risks
with their health.

I don't really worry about death and disese and stuff. My
only death related fear is the fear of living forever and
watching everyone else die

I wanna go first cause I'm a wimp

My mum was cacking herself for a while about this when she
found out an ex-bf had a blood disease he wouldn't talk to
her about. Turns out it was haemophilia tho, she got tested
and it turned out negative. *phew*

ohhh shit, i wish i never came across this thread. fuck
fuck fuck! bad omen.

i have been SO scared, i think i have it and im way to
afraid to get tested. my parents and friends are begging me
to take it. i thought of losing yourself to a plague, and
loosing the ability to leave a legacy is so shocking that
when i think about it i want to cry.
i just watched requiem for a dream yesterday and it was a
real thinker movie for me. i will get tested as soon as i
feel in order to.

It seems as though that the whole "not knowing" part of it
would be worse than either one because it would develop into
an elaborate mental debate. Do i have or dont i, type of a
thing. The uncertainty of the situation would kick my ass!
:D

i was actually thinking this...

this weekend i went to the hospital.

i contracted an STD last weekend... and now i'll have it for
the rest of my life, i've done the responsible thing of
calling my past partners.

i'm pretty pissed off to tell you the truth.
and saddened by my own stupidity, i always went through life
thinking
it would never happen to me

god was i wrong.

life has a grand way.

not to be nosy but what did you contract? Did you notice
right away?

offline DeLtoiD from Ontario on 2004-01-25 14:44 [#01048344]
Points: 2934 Status: Lurker

yes... i don't really care.... it's not my fault that i got
it, but now fact.

i have herpes...

and yes i noticed right away, when white sores break out on
your cock, you tend to notice...

but they hurt like hell.

Sorry to sound all preachy :S but... Get yourself checked
because at least if you do have it you can make decisions
and be careful in the future when it comes to having sex
etc. plus you can start coming to terms with it and get on
with it. If you don't have it you are worrying for no
reason. I know when you have something on your mind it is
all you can think about. It is always there and no matter
what you do or how you feel, you are always reminded of it
somehow and can't think of anything else. You need to get
checked even, if just for peace of mind. If you don't you're
putting your future sexual partners at risk too. Good luck
:)x I know everybody says that it's 100% preventable but
when it comes to rape or when an infected mother gives it to
her kiddy it's pretty unfair and I don't think it's right to
look at everybody that has AIDS and say that it's their own
fault. In Catholic countries in Africa, for example they are
told, by priests and in hospitals that having sex with a
condom is as bad and dangerous, as without because the virus
can pass through the porous latex material, in order to keep
the religious traditions going strong. Condoms are really
difficult to find their too. I think in this case, as well
it's not as easy to prevent.
