So, I met this guy last semester in my class... he is Icelandic, studying film scoring. He already has a degree from Iceland, in piano performance. Anyways, so I was talking to him one day, and asked for his opinion on my Aliens 4 score I did for class, and he really liked it... so he got my contact info, and said he'd drop me a line if he needed synth work for this movie he's doing. Well, I got back from break, and he contacted me, and so I am helping doing sound design/MIDI programming on an indie icelandic film! He came over today, and we worked for several hours, and got a scene completed. Its very ambient, and beautiful. Synths, and piano... The composition is his, but I made the sounds and did the sequencing. Anyways, Im getting credited on the movie credits! How sweet is that?!?! :-D Its pro bono, as this film is indie, and on a tight budget... but its payment enough to get my name on there, and have this on my resume! Ill let you know more about this, as it develops. So yeah, we have 2 more scenes to work on. Also, just cool little note, Sigur Ros (sp?) will have a song in the movie. Sorry, Im rambling... just very excited! |
