cloning is do able and easy, and i do not doubt that the guy
has implanted the embryo, but last time this occurred what
happened, nothing, it disappeared from the news and they
said it was a hoax.

how to clone:

1. get a cell from the original animal (in this case a
human)
2. get an egg cell from a female of the species
3. take nuclear material out of egg cell and discard
4. take the nucleus from the body cell and put it in the egg
cell
5. put it in the woman

it's not a hard thing to do and any invitro specialist can
do it

the theory is that the telomeres of the dna will be repaired
and the cell will grow as if it were a new organism

BUT...

the dna may remain 'sensitised' and hence the organism will
be 'older' than it should be and will not live as long as a
normal organism (eg: dolly the sheep)

and all mutations in the dna of the cell used will be
retained in the new organism, and therefore will appear more
prominently than they do in the original organism.

so i guess i'm saying yay science guy, if he's lucky and it
works properly, but boo science guy if he fucked it up and
the kid comes out retarded or something.
