Anyone here have expperienxce with this Antidepressant !? My Doc prescribed it to me because of my extreme shyness ? Will it make me less shy ?! Will I finally get laid.....god please let it be true |

I was on that shit once years ago.. I stopped taking it, worked my problems out for myself. It did get me laid in a sense, i had a girlfriend the whole time i was taking it. |

Yep, Seroxat is one of the few ADs that gets prescribed for Social Phobia i.e. Shyness... I was on them for a while...but the side-effects were a little odd (NO SEX!!:( )...& although I do think they made feel more human after a while, they flattened out too much of my personality... Currently I'm prescribed ZISPIN aka REMEROL aka Mitrazepham...a newer type of ADs that SSRIS like prozac & seroxat that have far far fewer sideeffects... Great for sleep as well. The other main one is they give you the muchies - great for me as I'm pretty underweight, but obviously not for everyone..).. Maybe worth chatting to your doc about that... |

a friend of me is taking them for over three years now; still no girlfriend, but it really helps him for not being depressed, so why not taking them if it helps you not to be shy, i don't think it can harm your health or anything. peace |

I considered them for a while but then discovered that the side effects featured numerous sexual disfunctions so there's no way I'm going down that path. Anyway my girlfriend is a farrrrr better anti-depressant :) |

Sexual dysfunction dont bother me...actually im enhjoying them, haveing not to masturbate everyday is a huge reliefe.... Ok, I took my first pill this morning....I didnt kill myself yet... |

seroxat was the last antidepresent I tool and I thought it helped alot It dosent take over you but it does give you that little kick up the arse you need to sort out whatever needs sorting out Give it a go, but always be aware of any changes in yourself with ANY antidepressant. And listen to your friends |

alcohol cures shyness I was terrible at talking to people before I started drinking. Now even when I'm sober I can grace people's presence with my immeasurable wit.
