grody, man! but i guess it is no less cruel or technically any more disgusting than eating any other part of the animal.
i guess it's a good thing that they are used for something if the cow would be killed anyway. it's good that they aren't just rotting or fertilising land somwhere.
at least they are being used in the protein structure of another living thing.
