So, yeah theres that feature where you put your mouse over
a topic, and it says who posted in it last...

this worked fine on my parents pc... but never on my mac (or
the macs at school)

anyone else on a mac have the same problem?

the title tag which makes that possible is deprecated, isn't
it? So I guess it depends what kind of version your browser
is. Doesn't work with Opera either.

i'm on a mac and i didn't even know that feature existed, in
fact.

also, the followup function doesn't work.

and the sound samples videos etc. (only the ones featured on
xltronic though! on other sites, they work without any
problem) always lead to another page with simply the name of
the file modified to a similar file name but with a
different (yet related) extension (for example, .m3u /.mp3,
.wma/.wmv....) - if you copypaste the file name on this
page, it works. but not directly. it only does that on
xltronic, and it's weird.

on iCab (an alternate navigator for mac), the feature to see
who posted last works though!

the media problem remains though.

and...
*testing followup feature on iCab*

safari is a fairly new browser, no? So I guess it obeys at
least some basic w3c standards (like not supporting
deprecated html)

it works for me

and the great part about .m3u files linking to the mp3 text
thing is you can download the mp3 by copying it into the url
of an old download in the download manager and hitting
reload

that's stickin it to the man!

for me, im on a mac as well and what doesnt work is the
little drop down menu to look at the past topics made like
25-50 and so on... it never opens for some reason, its real
annoying.

and as well, I cannot click on a topic # and reply to it
specificly, ill have to type their name out instead.

There is a way in CSS to accomplish this - Phobia is
correctly using the TITLE attribute on the links, and they
should show in IE 5.2 Mac. Give that a try, or, Phobia could
try this:

There's other ways to do this (with and without Javascript),
but that's the first I Googled :)

i'm on a mac using explorer 5.0, and indeed the last post
feature works, but the follow up feature does not work.

as far as i can tell everything else seems to work ok...

Netscape 7 on mac is able to reply to a post by clicking on
the post #. The tabs feature is also useful for having
multiple topics open in the same window. It can be somewhat
buggy, but I am running an older release for OS9 while later
releases for OSX may work better.

Like so. When I clicked on the post # it refreshed the
window and now when I reply it should be to the post # I hit
...

this is why i hate designing web pages. so many people on so
many different browsers with different rules.

i wish the w3c would bring about laws.

and lets all move on from html, and only deal with xhtml.
