300kHz??? rather 30Hz You lower the volume AROUND - I'm talking about cutting out - that's why it sounds weird.

Oh yeah, when you cut off frequencies below 30hz it doesn't completely get rid of them, it just kind of controls them so they're not eating up bandwidth that most stereos can't reproduce anyway...
Also, on vinyl, those really low frequencies can make the needle jump... So rolling off below 30hz is quite common - And cutting above 20khz is done quite a bit too - I don't tend to do that myself, but it's all about optimizing the audio you've got so there's no frequencies in there that are taking up disk information and not really audible.

Waves platinum and Yamaha final master Both these have all the post mixing software i need.
I live in dubai so i cant buy any decent hardware plus im the only person making music with software above just Reason.
