I have about five or six of his releases and the only that
does it for me is the first one that I ever heard which is
hard normal daddy. great record

'hard normal daddy' or 'music is rotted one note'

Go Plastic is great, and I haven't heard Big Loada although
Come on My Selector is just great

Go Plastic! / Big Loada (US version pref. which also
contains the Port Rhombus EP)

bumblefuk on 2001-12-09 06:12 [#00059134]

get Hard Normal Daddy (which continues and refines Feed Me)
and Go Plastic (which is a total mindfuck)....... then try
Music Is Rotted (as if possessed by a confused spectre of a
dead fucked up Miles Davis)... Squarepusher may not be easy
to digest, and is very challeging, but well worth it....

bumblefuk on 2001-12-09 06:16 [#00059136]

oh... Big Loada (link between earlier jazz drum n bass and
go plastic) and Port Rhombus Ep (early style at peak) are
also damn essential...... you can't go wrong.........

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-12-09 06:27 [#00059139]

someone give me a description of Music is Rotted One Note...
I've listened to a few samples, and it sounds slower, and
less like drum and bass... at least the samples I've heard
did... anyways, I'm thinking of picking it up sometime, and
would love some info on what it's like...

gilius on 2001-12-09 16:20 [#00059183]

for me,the last Untitled 12" is fuckin'
incredible.

bumblefuk on 2001-12-09 16:32 [#00059184]

MusicRottedOne Note is NOT "drum n bass"-ish. no fast
beats. has one actually "song". basically Tom J jamming
with himself, then fucking with it, to make a sort of fucked
up distorted echoe of a Miles Davis 70s style recording...
this is not easy listening! very anarchaic. very
interesting. not for those who don't like to experiment.
Music has rotted... sezs it all...

DeLtoiD from the woodwerk on 2001-12-09 16:36 [#00059185]

Xanatos from NYC on 2001-12-11 02:38 [#00059686]
