so you've got yourself a record label, and now you can
release or rerelease old obscure titles, or unreleased
artists. don't release your own stuff, though, that's too
obvious.

i thought of this since someone just brought up the long
lost second plone album. which i would release on my label,
if i had one.

i'd also love to do a compilation of xltronic artists, which
is an obvious choice but i'd have to do it on my own private
label since no one here could ever agree on a track list (i
think).

i'd also re-release the first casino versus japan album (the
one released on star star stereo).

and the pharoah sanders' album "izipho zam" (sixties
freakout jazz, not electronic but this is my label!), and
i'd get someone skilled to remaster and possible remix the
original tracks since the only cd release available sounds
terrible.

and the second, out of print sun electric ep "aaah!" as
well.

i forgot, i'd have to give a proper american release to
several albums by joyce, the brazilian jazz singer/composer.

i'd like to release stuff by awkward, cars for christ,
tauboo & emoticon. can't think of a decent name for the
fantasty label though

i might be done with foisting my own music on people for
awhile. due to lack of interest...

and i lack the capital to start a black hole investment like
an independent record label that caters to my less than
popular tastes.

so plaidzebra records is born here in this thread. if
anyone has a lot of capital they'd like to write off,
contact me.

incidentally, i'm not talking about a website that posts
mp3's of otherwise unreleased artists, i mean a label that
manufactures and markets cd's and vinyl.

you know, old fashioned.
