Finally got this game this past weekend, and it makes
owning my Gamecube all the more worthwhile.

the fighting is awesome, the level design is clever, the
game has a fantastic way of presenting itself, and the
overall package is just damned cool in terms of gameplay,
style and atmosphere.

i strongly recommend this game to ANYONE who owns a
Gamecube.

next on my GC wishlist:
Gladius
Ikaruga
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Resident Evil 4
Killer-7
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles

Now I REALLY want to get this game :) I might get it this
weekend. Trade in that True Crime game that is bugged to
fuck and get this instead. I hope Joe says BAM!

he doesn't need to - his fighting is a big, 1000-point font
BAM all by itself.

I'm stuck on the boss with the axe, the one that keeps
singing. I know you have to learn the order of his attacks
and stuff, but I can't be bothered. I've tried beating him
twice, once I run out of lives I just turn the thing off. No
patience, me.

okay, try this.

his first attack will be a low axe-swing. dodge this with up
on the joystick, then slow down and beat the piss out of him
until he starts blocking. afterwards, run to the far side of
the screen.

when he charges at you, jump over him and behind him, then
beat the piss out of him yet again in slow-motion.

but the biggest trick to winning this fight is knocking back
the missiles at him. knock some of those homing missiles
back at him, and SLOW DOWN just before they hit him - it
will make the explosion bigger, and do a shitload of damage.
in fact, if it does enough, his axe will BREAK - then beat
the piss out of him again.

and one more thing, in case you catch fire from the missiles
coming above, go into MACH SPEED and run around for a second
and jump - the fire will be extinguished. hope that helps.

and no, i didn't use a strategy guide.

Aha! I keep forgetting about the explosions being bigger in
slo-mo, so I'll definitely do that. And the mach speed/fire
thing I didn't know either! That should help a lot, nice one
:)

Of course if it doesn't, Gamecube for sale £100

Yes, that seems to be one everyone gets stuck on from the
reviews etc. not wishng to sound like I'm gloating, but I
beat him first time. I am stuck on the next one though... I
can see what I have to do, but it's just hard.

I'm stuck on that level where you have to fight all the
bosses again, on adult. And having to fight the same couple
of fuckers so many times in a row sucks. So I've stopped
playing it.
Btw, if you go to gamefaq.com you can fing a way to max out
your coinage on like the 2nd level. Then you can buy
everything right away and be pretty maxed out. Didn't do it
myself, or I would have beat the game already.

I didn't like it that much either, the gameplay was alright
but got pretty repetetive, but what seemed the weirdest is
that apparently the game doesnt save until you beat the
level, and if you die anywhere in between you have to start
the entire level over. I just HATE redoing parts of games
even twice, but I'll almost never do something three times
in a row in the same sitting, I just get to bored having to
redo it all.
