sometimes, music is painful

Ever get that feeling like you've been overloaded with
music,

sometimes I need a good block of silence, to help me
appreciate music again, I've listened to music until it
hurts, at times like this I feel like music is a drug,

yes... sometimes it happens to me.

not for long though but there are times where every music
bores me =/
(and everything on the internet too - but that's more
often)

sometimes (it's quite rare but it happens too) it's
intermediate, i can't listen to usual music because it bores
me, but i enjoy listening to noise or lowercase music,
unusual "music" with a different approach to sound,
composition; no real melodies nor rhythms, etc.

maybe the best when this happens would be to simply shut the
computer off and go outside.

i should do it more often.

but i just have no idea of where to go, most of the time
when i leave home it's to go to university, or to buy
records (or more rarely manga) =)

a walk in the woods in these times would be great... (but
it's not that easy, i can't even go on my own i don't know
the way, i don't have a bicycle, meh o_O)

I often get this. Mostly due to the fact that what I
usually listen to gets boring. I try to fix this by
listening to classical or jazz which I also like alot but
don't listen to as often as electronic. This sometimes
works and when it doesn't I end up watching tv which of
course is so interesting that I am forced to go back to
listening to music because monica and chandler having a baby
is just so FUCKING INTERESTING AND EXCITING AND LETS NOT
FORGET FUNNY FUNNIER IN FACT THAN ANY OF THE SHOWS BEFORE IT
BECAME A SOAP OPERA THAT I MIGHT BURST!!!

I think it's been months since this last happened to me,
even jpop sounds annoying at the moment, imagine the odds!

no, I could listen to music always... my problem is finding
the right music for my moods... lots of time I have this
huge need to just put on the right thing, but I can never
decide what the right thing is...

I know the feeling. When I first put on some music after a
long spell of silence or other activity, it's like candy.
After a while, or on other occasions, I'm just not in the
mood.. and I can't think of anything I'd want to hear
because it's all too cliche or boring or redundant. Usually
though if I go through a series toggling between IDM,
rock/punk, and synthpop .. I can usually maintain interest.

it seems like when i over-do music i stop being affected by
it, and its just an intellectual distraction to keep your
brain occupied even if your not actually enjoying it
thats a shame... i dont think it should be out of boredom

same thing happens w/ playing guitar for me, except instead
of how much it effects me its how much i put into it... then
i take a break from it for a while and when i come back it
feels fresh and a lot more fun (and i think im a lot better
then too, in terms of creativity)

anyone who plays an instrument know what i mean?

my problem too guys... which is probably why I buy so many
cds... when you have a new cd, and it's good, for a little
while anyways you can put that one on any time and it
fits... cause of the newness factor!

yeah. there are definately times when silence is more
enjoyable to me than music.

i guess we can just get overstimulated by a constant barage
of sound, and a break from it can certainly be refreshing.

my left ear is acting weird °_°

when i hear "brutal" music (somewhat), it... acts weird, it
scrtsschchhhhes, or it gets "numb" (i receive the
sound like through something that reduces the volume)...

it already happened to me a few times, when i was sick or
when listening in car, but that's very uncomfortable and
annoying, i can't listen to music anymore unless it's very
quiet stuff - i've been having that since last night now

i hope i don't have problems ' _ '
of course i cleaned it but it still continues happening...

=(

There's definitely way too much good music out there, past
and present and future, and it really sucks when you're
slaving 9 to 5 and don't have enough time to listen to
everything you want to after you get home. I like to get
acquainted with albums and give them LOTS of airplay, but
it's hard with so much stuff in queue.

And I seem to have a few days every month where NO music can
satisfy me, it's strange. I get in these depressing doldrums
and I always worry that the honeymoon between me and music
is over. I always climb out of that pit of despair by
putting on the right album though.
