I hate reality Tv too. all forms of it. like anyone cares anymore if joe shmo can eat 50 fried goat genitals or if sally can accept larry when she finds out he isn't really the president of luxemburg.
apparently some people must, which is the saddest thing of all. this isn't just mindless entertainment anymore, it's harmfully vapid in my opinion. so devoid of any redeeming qualities that the thought of a new one almost makes my stomach turn.

REFLEX,
it is blatantly obvious that you fail to see any corrolation or patterns in modern activity and sociology.
You _do_ realize that the reason people watch these shows is because they can relate.
Hell, the real reason people like tv shows or things of that nature is for character development (branch predictions) and relating to those character(s).
go figure ?!!?

i'm sure he realizes that... obviously people can relate... because they're being plucked from behind their tv screens and become the action on tv... it was an interesting sociological study at first, back when the idea was relatively novel, but now everyone's assimilated the normative standards of behaviour on reality TV, and it no longer represents any semblance or the life that occurs outside of it.... but yes, TV in general is terrible these days, i can't watch it for any length of time without wanting to leave the room and puke... television, to me is a perfect illustration of how close we are to being the dystopian worlds that sci-fi people have been writing stories and movies about for years...

describe good 'entertainment' that the 'popular crowd' i.e., majority would watch?
surely reality will phase out, just give it time and try to ignore it :)
