Maybe, maybe not. Nothings perfect. Fact is everyone has an equal chance. Majority of honours are given to people that nobody has heard of so you know the high profile honours are there just to give it some profile really. |

You know people who are just interested in titles make me puke, it is exceptionally shallow if that is their chief motivation. That said there are a lot of people around who like to have this or that title and I'm not just talking about honours and they just like to feel important without having any agenda or really wanting to do anything. That kinda of individual bores me intensly but you know I accept them because you know its only human nature. |

tolstoyed, Well there is also the criteria of somebody doing something revolutionary and you see Aphex excels there, at least thats what I think. Hell I'm not stuck on Aphex it could be anyone else its just a question of reality as to how realistic a chance he would have of receiving an honour compared to other artists. |

but imo, it's better to be appreciated by someone that understands music, rather than someone who's only criteria is popularity. as im not british i don't know what honour that is for you guys, but in my eyes it wouldn't mean anything if someone get's it for making music... |

How it works is Joe public nominated xyz and then they have a Commissioner who creates a shortlist and then they study each nominee on its merits, something like that. |
