My god! This is the worst music ever! Is all his/their
stuff like this? What is Skam thinking? Crap!

you are wrong, and that's not IMO, it's fact. wevie stonder
wails balls off, and this e.p. is great. if you dont like
it i dont recommend checking out drawing on other people's
heads either, because it kicks the crap out of shit

dont worry mortsto-x, we cant save everyone. theres always
going to be those renegades that actually want to pollute
their ears with incohesive "haha" gutter trash-my first sony
artists.
I have passed the point in my life where i need a show with
my music. or shock in the music. it was cool when all you
wanted was to shock your parents or the system, so you put
on a marilyn manson record. now, i just want good music.
great music.
i dont want to laugh or chuckle when i put on a new record i
just spent my dough on. thats just me, and i know everyones
pickle gets tickled by different shit. but come on people!
this aint quality shit! thats like saying expert knob
twiddlers was a "classic".

A quick XLT-search tells me that there has been some arguing
about V.Stonder earlier. I agree with intruder about humor
in music.

What makes you think i even like AE? if you must know i cant
fucking stand anything after chiastic slide.
Good music is good music. its unfortuante that two of the
"big" guns in the music biz, ie rephlex and skam, have
completely forgot about that fact and are steadily trying to
move "music" into a totally unlistenable obscure direction.

Classic only in the sense that its old!

you guys dont get me started on autechre now!

Just out of curiousity, and this isnt trying to be any sort
of jab, but fuckwagon/neetta do you guys listen to Merzbow?
in all honesty? maybe not regularly, but on occasion. and/or
own albums by merzbow.

i likes one release by merzbow, the one called balance, with
ladybird, because of the idea was cool

the autechre thing was not like ment to be taken too
seiously ;)

wevie stonder isn't novelty disposable funny like a jerky
boys cd, and it's not shock value art either. it's good,
it's an effective collage of sound with sometimes funny
samples... the final product is interesting and it has a
voice. saying they're disposable haha funny is like saying
beck is disposable haha funny. he's got zAnY lyrics.

excuse me, i have to go to pull my pants down and fart on my
mom while you stroke your beard listening to some quality
sterile shit

and no i dont listen to merzbow i dont even see how you
could compare merzbow to wevie stonder, if that's what
you're doing

the chimes of march is lovely.....
i saw them live and it was entertaining to say the least, a
bit shambolic but "fun".

people want all sorts of emotions from music and thats it
really.

you do that fuckwagon. enjoy listening to some talentless
fat ass that couldnt figure out any angle to make a buck, so
he threw together an entourage, and started making jarbled
ear piercing electronic music that has no rhythm or
direction. and he just so happened to get lucky when the
idiots at skam gave him a deal.

I didnt get mad at the ae comment! :)

Merzbow? i have a truely unbridled hate for merzbow. this
fucking guys records the fucking sound that his tv makes on
channel 123 add even more noise and sells records to peole
that cant be bothered with "sterile music". i bought one of
his cds once. venerology i think it was. why? so i could
break it in front of the reocrd store owner, because i was
so pissed he bought one to sell in his store(trade in).

offline Intruder from Chicago (United States) on 2004-01-07 09:20 [#01021735]

you can compare the two because they both are different
simply to be different. i put AE in the same category.
speedy J (he's lost his marbles completly).
I still have a love hate relationship with Ventian Snares
because i think that he's got to the point where he can make
money of of what ever he does, cause its the venetian snares
sound. i think the only shit he really tries to make decent
are his hymen releases.

broke that cd in front of him! you go girl!

Because i have known the guy for so long. he barely makes
any money to actually take home, and he's only there because
of his love for music. i was there with one of my buddies,
i'm flipping through some records when my friend calls me
and says Holy shit! he sells merzbow now? it was like 6
bucks. and i told him i started seeing shit like this again,
id stop going. its dough he can drop on stuff people that
shop there actually like.

drawing on other peoples heads and boomkat samples of his
new one. also i saw a live show of his. im really not trying
to be hardcore about this. i know everyone likes what they
like. i just have have a hard time understanding sometimes.

fucking shmuck. why dont you take your comment to the oxy
moron thread, cause thats what it is.

What kind of music do i like? well, the same you do. just
not wevie stonder. or merzbow. or nasty noisey stuff in
general. here, let me put it to you this way. i hated go
plastic by squarepusher. with the exception of red hot car.
that type of stuff does nothing for me. the wild spatic, no
rythm having stuff that sounds like a laptop going bonkers i
dont like. its got to still sound like music for me to get
into it.

because i can. both annoy the shit out of me. its not music
to me. so i put them in the same category. "crap". sorry if
it offends some of you but thats how i feel. no wevie
stonder is not noise, but is spastic shit all over the place
with no rythm.
this is really staring to get annoying now. i give up.

i LOVE WEVIE STONDER. its the bestest music there is!
merzbow and the fat guy should a child. and the could call
it merzonder! and it could make craptasic music for
everyone!

what do you mean "worst music ever"??

it's not on top of my charts either, but how can you call it
worst ever?
have you ever heard of radiohead maybe...now that is
definitely worst ever :)

there are couple of tunes that are quite alright on kenyan
harry:
-cheese rider
-the rooney man

Ok. Not the worst EVER, but sometimes you hear something you
hope should be good, and you get very disappointed. An
example is W. Stonder wich is neither good art or good
comedy. Another example is when I listened to the
BBC/Rephlex/One World-show, with the killer track by PP Roy,
and I bought his first album. It was the same thing. "Funny
music" that sucked. When I hear Wevie Stonder, I def her
something I haven't heard before, but It's not funny and the
melodies/beats are not even interesting.
