He was great in Return of the Killer Tomatoes :)

Yeah there is something annoyingly likeable about him...

Self deprecation makes people in his position more likeable.

BBC2 triggering this I suppose...

Solaris is his best performance I think. Some of the facial
expressions are superb. Either that or Dusk Till Dawn.

You.

BE COOL.

I really want to see Solaris! It reminds me of 2001: a space
odyssey.

Its too bad about Batman though. Joel Schumacher should be
beheaded for that travesty.

If you liked Solaris you should check out the original
Russian version. Its pretty great too. Great and
boring(sometimes).

giginger is correct - scientific studies have shown that
watching these films from start to finish causes a loss of
the will to live - and watching them back to back while
eating inanimate carbon rods makes you grab a third arm from
your anus.

what's funny about Batman and Robin is that Clooney looks
back now and hates it. I saw him on Letterman a while back,
and he said this in response to Dave asking him if he knew
Arnold Schwarzenegger....

"Yeah, i don't know if you remember, but we buried the
Batman franchise a while back."

*crowd laughs, applause*

"*turning to audience* thank you! *smiles*"

he directed confessions of a dangerous mind, which was one
of last year's best movies.

make sure to watch the deleted scenes. they ended up cutting
some of the best material, a lot of visual stuff that'll
stick in your mind for a bit.

The plight of good looking people. Someone like Walken is
good looking, in his own way, but also badass. Which makes
him more easy to like for some reason. But a guy like
Clooney or Cruise have to go further to gain respect because
of the dashing looks. Did I say dashing?

It's that old pretty boy thing. No one likes pretty boys.
Even if they have talent.

Yeah, the obvious stigma, which I think - for my generation
anyway (I dunno how old you are) began with the Brad Pitt /
Tom Cruise legacy. Look at how they started out - Risky
Business/Less Than Zero - playing brainless poster boys.
They both had to develop their acting abilities but also the
public's ability to accept them in more serious roles.
Breakthrough parts - Cruise - Born On The Fourth Of July /
Pitt - Twelve Monkeys. Clooney? Definitely Dusk Till Dawn.
He was still some simpering ER Doc till then. Transforming
himself (with hefty thanks to Rodriguez) into a badass
vampire slaying tattooed criminal was one of the finest
career moves of recent history.

'75, only three years older. These three actors though I
feel share similar troubles with regards to their careers.
Pitt I think has really grown the most though, look at
Oceans Eleven and how he dominates the entire movie.

i have to agree with "anus's should hate him but don't
comment".

confessions of a dangerous mind was really good.

but, i have to say that i thought solaris was utter poodoo.
such shitbag character development. from what i gather it's
only worth is as a visual footnote to the book. imo: an
utterly forgettable movie in and of itself.
