okay, on Geogaddi, in reverse play for
"A is to B as B is to C"
you hear a clip of the song "teddy bears picnic"
now this is already known and talking about in some sites.
but heres something..
-drum roll-
that i know and noone else does!!!

its taken from the British TV series
"The Singing Detective"
which is about childhood traumas.
Hmmm.. Childhood, disturbing...
this runs up BOC's alley i'd say.

thankyou thankyou.

At the end of one of the later tracks on Draft 7.0 there is
an almost inaudible split second of another song being
played or live band or something. I can never remember the
track which has kept me from starting a thread about it.

..what do you mean, it's taken from "the singing
detective"..?

it's a pretty old childrens song that also was used in that
series..

do you mean that you can actually hear that it was lifted
out of that specific episode?

what im saying is. that after hearing that sample 100 times,
and comparing it to Michael Gambon singing it in that
episode. ive come to conclude that its him singing it. a
little tinkered, a little lo qual, but its him i say!

I'm pretty sure there is a Dr. Strangelove sample on
Frontier Psychiatrist, a track on Since I Left You by the
Avalanches. The sample would be Slim Pickens shouting on
the bomb. I know I found that sample on something, but I'm
not sure if thats the track. Dammit, now I gotta go home
just to check.

he doesn't sing it himself, though.

all the songs used in The Singing Detective are the original
(old) recordings.

he's just lipsynching.

naw, i agree with you totally.
but the underline of the singing detective was childhood,
and how fucked up it can be. and isnt geogaddi all about
disturbed children cursing you with numerology?

same here, also some occult children too. i tripped off
gyroscope so badly. it was like this little strange girl was
cursing at me, defining my very puny existence in simple
numbers.
"nine, nnninee, three, seven, zero, nine, nniinneee"

AHH!
-hides under a blanket-
