personally i think geogaddi is kinda trashy, but if you like
mhtrtc and iapoinc you will prob. like twoism -- especially
if you have a soft spot for crackling demotape electro
fuzz..

*and*

Geogaddi is absolutely brilliant. you dont know what your
talking about.

crackling demo tape fuzz..
i d/l a couple songs from twoism and i thought it was cool
at first, but then the bleeps and scratches became so
frequent and loud that i thought the file was messed. is
this really the intended sound of twoism?

its cool, but a little annoying sometimes

offline happy cycling from berlin on 2004-01-01 12:19 [#01012605]
Points: 2786 Status: Regular

um, it's noticeable, but not that bothersome -- if it's
really overly-annoying it might be a corrupt file as well..

p.s., fellow vancouverite, where do you shop for records?
zulu?

man i went to vancouver this summer to buy records. shit
man, zulu was BOMB. and scratch records on robson (i think?)
the street sounds familiar anyway that was awesome too lots
of idm.

this one shop in victoria though man, ditch records. it was
so good - i spent $150+ there in two days.

not that this has anything to do with twoism. but yeah buy
it. now.

the first 'official' one yes. previous releases such as
hooper bay and acid memories were only released on tape and
such. The original twoism was limited though. It's been on
e-bay for as much as 800 bucks or possibly more.

this site has excellent info:

What Gwely has sounds a lot like a track from one particular
mp3 rip of twoism that was floating around filesharing
networks before twoism had it's 'official' rerelease.

And yes, of course you should buy it.

Before Twoism was rereleased on Warp, there were *loads* of
dodgy vinyl rips circulating (on Audiogalaxy, bless), and I
remember with one rip in particular the EQing was a bit
fucked and it was all horrible and scratchy. Go buy it and
experience it mastered the way it was meant to be.

And check DavidAC's site. That guy knows his stuff
when it comes to BoC.

go ahead and get it, but dont expect to be blown away, its
not their best, geogaddi, mhrtc and in a beautiful place are
the best there is, dont get hi scores, its their weakest
release i think, june 9th is their absolute lowpont.

you dont read reviews for anything by BOC. you just buy. no
thinking involved. buy twoism. hi scores. peel sessions
too.
dont let anyone tell you peel sessions isnt worth it. the
olson version is magnifico. then download XYZ that was
omitted from peel sessions for god knows what reason.

you still reading? GO!
