what would be your dream studio? lets hear it. wether u go
for pure software or hardware or would you include any
traditional instruments such as guitars flutes tuba's etc?

i think mine would be something like

my vaio laptop running cubase + plugins
akai mpc2000
ems synthi
roland jp-8000
roland jd-990
sequential circuits pro one
roland jupiter 8
mc202
tb303
sh101
tr909/808/606
2x akai s5000 samplers
korg ms20
ems vcs3 (mean little bastard!)
some mean controller keyboard

god knows what i'd do with it, but i doubt anyone would ever
see/hear from me again :)

I don't know any names of music hardware so can't list them.

the way I'm working right now works perfect for me. I can do
everything I want in a predominantly software digital
setting , tho I'd like to have a fully maxed out kyma
workstation .what's it's name cabibara (?) or sumptin'?
whatever.don't need it tho..friggin expensive

A new Gibson Flying V, a Marshall tube head (don't know
which model), a new Mac notebook with Reason, a myriad of
effects pedals, and some kinda drum set. I don't know
anything about drums.

like to get a hardware SyxED Librarian if that even exsists
...

Whatever RDJ+Plaid use.

But for the time being, I'd say
my EX5
Cubase SX
a good soundcard to record into my comp with
a badass drum machine (ideas?)
and a couple true analog synths... maybe the alesis
andromeda, the juno 106, and a minimoog voyager would fit
the bill pretty nice.

Yeah I think they might have - Download have got one! So's
Meat Beat Manifesto - Used all over everything.

I think BBC was using an EMS Synthi 100 too - Most insane
synth ever made probably..

I really didn't like her studio! It just tonnes of "alright"
synths.. Nothing special... And hardly any decent
processing/mixin or anything.

And in a few years time all those physical modelling synths
will be superceeded by software and be worthless... If she'd
have gone vintage/analog she'd actually have a decent
investment there - Prolly make a whole shitload of cash down
the line.

i more or less have my "dream" setup. i just need a few more
pedals, effects units, a nord wouldn't be all the bad, i
need to get a sampler again, and what i really want though
is a place to put all my stuff so it can be organized.

looks like in good detail. =p
