this means i am legal to kill, steal, and do drugs.

i dont know. i have not really been looking forward to it.
this was one of my most introspective times in my life, not
turning 21, but the moments preceding it. i guess being 21
fully certifies me as a *responsible* adult, but it's not
really that part that upsets me. it's more the fact that i'm
being thrown into a whole age group that i've grown to
loathe and dont want to be identified with.

i dont really celebrate my birthday. it seems too selfish
for me. i get embarrassed opening gifts and i dont really
like the attention i get. my dad called me this morning and
i got his gifts in the mail, my aunt gave me hers too. my
boss wanted to give me the day off, but i refused. she
bought me some beer and a bottle of rum at least. i guess
tonight i'm just going to drink, probably alot so i dont
have to think about today.

anyway though, i guess i just want to know what you all did
on your 21st birthday (for those eligible) and what the rest
of you do on your birthdays and what birthdays mean to you
all.

You probably don't want to be told to lighten up and enjoy
life so I won't say it.

Happy Birthday!

you start noticing things about you changing. physically and
mentally.

youll think yr turning into an oldy olsen.

i have friends who are turning 30, and i cant imagine me
turning 30.

its weird. you dont think itll effect you, but you cant help
it.

21 feels too old for me, but i suppose i'll have it worse
when i near my 30th. i think about then i'll feel
*completely* useless to the general populace.

i have thoughts of doing DXM tonight. i dont know, maybe i
shouldn't do those things just because i dont like what day
it is.

Happy birthday. I've always admired your lobster.

For me, birthdays are just a silly tradition and an excuse
for other people to buy me things. I don't take it too
seriously, but I enjoy getting things. Call me selfish.
It's not like people are breaking the bank buying me a CD.

i am 18 right now (which means i'm "technically" an adult,
according to the law) and i'm not that happy with it, i
don't accept it that much - i even keep forgetting
that i'm 18 - i'm afraid of all the responsabilites and
stuff.... i haven't profited much of my childhood and
pre-adult life and now this time is ending, now that i'm
just beginning to be like what i should have been to
appreciate it.... but well...

i won't wish you "happy birthday", seeing how you consider
it, but i certainly wish you courage to face adult life, and
also i'm sure that not everyone will classify you as
"hevquip = 21 = adult, like all the others (the ones you
loathe)"... if they're open-minded enough they'll know who
you are and not just classify you as "an adult"! =)

at least i think so.

personally i don't care that much whether people are over 21
or not, i consider them according to their personality and
not their age / i know adult friends who go along very well
with people under 19, just like one of them, there is
absolutely no problems with that...!

(of course, it all depends on other people now...)

so....
well
i don't know what to say sorry ' _ '
but i wish you all the best anyway

well it's not that i fear being an adult so much, it's that
i see alot of people this age and they think "life = party.
what's responsibility?"

i dont mind responsibility so much as i mind the fact that
now it's like i HAVE to accomplish things because of some
stupid social contract and i dont know how to achieve all
those goals at the moment.

the best day ever at Gymnasium (sortof like Highschool) was
when we got to the electric-exhibition of the year, in
Stockholm (school payed for the trip/and entry).
We got loads of free stuff + as much candy as one wanted,
food, and most important beer :)
It was all free! :) You could get beer at different places
and some was like "nah you're too young", but some was kind
and let us have some.
Best day of Gymnasium!

this was when I was 18, so it wasn't illegal for us to get
beer for free...
We were suppose to do like some sort of assignment for
school there, but we just enjoyed the day to the fullest.
