No I've not seen it but most other films that try to portray youth culture manage to end up quite far off the mark and have characters you can't really relate to even when they're done by a comparatively young director. |

Featuring 5 teenagers driving across america doing all sorts of drugs, interviewing homeless people, going to gay bars, farms, asking people what they "think of Y2K" and "whats going to happen" (it was filmed in 1999). They are like modern day fucking hippies or some shit. "WHAAOO MAAAN". It's just like MTV's The Real World except they're all a bunch of tools. (wait, hold on a sec...) Is this the Hip Hop market?? The DVD has "hieroglyphics" written all over it, so is this the audience that hip hop is now being marketed to? I think its fucking sad and it makes me want to cry. There's nothing "unique" about it. ARE THE FUCKING HIP HOP AUDIENCE JUST A HAND-FULL OF DORKS AND CHEERLEADERS No And thats why it makes me mad AS ALWAYS EXCUSE MY HORRIBLE ENGLISH |

i bought this because the movie is on the same hybrid disc as the soundtrack, which is largely great and full of brand new material. the movie's stupid, i can't stand people like that in real life. and yet i was morbidly fascinated by it, like jackass. i recommend getting it for the soundtrack, but flip the disc over and watch the movie once. it's stupid but if you're curious what it's like to be a loser who thinks they're hot shit and don't care to meet such a person in real life, check it out. |
