a good read. i respect moore for speaking out for what he does/doesn't believe in. mark thomas attempts to do the same sort of thing in britain, but (although he makes me laugh) he seems willing to compromise his position in favour of a stunt or gag. moore doesnt seem to feel the need to be rude to his targets when talking to them (however much they deserve it). he doesnt put words in their mouth, waiting for them to tie their own noose of hipocrisy & contradiction. mark thomas on the other hand, gets pretty obnoxious with some of his targets.. to the point where they won't grant him interviews anymore & he's barred from a lot of events.. which is a pity - because there arent many journalists/comedians prepared to dedicate their time to these sorts of issues. |
