more points=more loneliness?

do you think that the people that have more points in the
MB is because they have a lonely real life, or because they
dont have a life....??

so, is nacmat the the most lonely person in real life of
this MB?

what do you think about the time we spend here?

i'm definately the loniest person on the planet... 'cept
maybe monoid.

so, i'd say points don't really reflect how lonely you are.

do stuff.

i'm not lonely : )

(well, i don't meet a lot of people nor know a lot of people
in the real life, that's for sure - but i'm not lonely in
the sad way, i just know people on the internet instead of
in the real life!)

in my case is more irresponsability rather than loneliness

when I have to do my things I am here... then I am with my
friends and girl

"more points=more loneliness?"

disagree. in fact, i've inadvertently sacrificed more real
friendships than i care to admit just to spend more time on
here. pathetic, huh? my points come from what was once a
desperate need for an outlet for my out of the ordinary
thoughts, opinions, and tastes, which wasn't and still isn't
being satisfied by students at my college. if i were at a
school where people were compatible with me, believe me i'd
not be wasting my time here. it really has become a waste of
time for me because it's just habit now. i've posted less
and less over the course of the last 12 months and i'm glad,
but i still spend too much time reading things here that
really don't matter at all. tons of topics and people here
interest me, and i have a lot more in common with people
here than in everyday life, but in the long run i'm
neglecting what matters most, and that's my real, long term
friends (and girlfriend), my creative endeavors (writing
fiction and non-fiction, making music, making art,
developing new skills, but also reading good books instead
of web sites) and my education (sorely and shamefully
neglected lately but that's largely due to another reason).
this isn't an "i'm leaving" or "this board sucks," just how
i feel about what i see as a tradeoff between my time and
effort here and what i get out of it, which isn't balanced
and most likely never was.

how's that for real?

there's nobody in this poopchute of a town, so i hang out

its happening to me as well... i rather spend time here then
with my friends but cos i get to listen the music i like
when im alone that suits me great!

so now you're comparing it on another level. But on downtown
earth you're lonely as people aren't compatible with you.
You can't show off your social life with a messageboard,
that's pathetic. Tolerance and acceptance are of great value
in life, neglecting those aspects really make a person a
prick, but online you can't see a face, so it doesn't
matter. If that still can make you happy, you would even
disagree when i say people isolate when they can only talk
to friends online.
