I liked when he said "huzzah for horsefactory!". That was
really the highlight of the thread, although the EGG CUSTARD
concept was quite lovely unto itself.

Horsefactory has earnt himself a temp ban:

"Is hacking the board OK?
First of all let's see what "hacking" means. If you fool
around the code, and try to hack the server side code, we
will punish you at once. It means a permanent ban.
If you only try to do some HTML trickery, and mess up the
board's layout, and you have reported it to a member of
the crew
, you are OK. Otherwise you can count on a temp
or perm ban.
"

Read the FAQ people...

Perhaps he has emailed one of the other mods or webmasters
about it, if so, his temp ban will be revoked, otherwise it
stays.

So why is it even an option? Couldn't TuneMX just eradicate
this from happening?

So he got banned for messing up the layout? Because a lot
of us were pissing about with that stuff and never got
banned, but we didn't mess the layout up I don't think.

It's a bit different doing the odd bit of tiny text after a
post to doing a massive one like that that screws up the
board layout...

I presume he told another mod about it as he's back and I
just banned him about 20 minutes ago. If this is the case,
my apologies, but if you've come back through more illicit
means, expect a full ban very shortly.

It's okay to have a little joke, but making the board look
like "the other place" is a serious crime ;)

I gotta hand it to you Veri JB, time and time again you
demonstrate what a politically and ethically taxing job
being an elite member of the moderating team can be. I know
you probably won't be able to respond to my letter due to
the impracicality of dealing with the large amount of other
mail you recieve on a regular basis from your many other
constituents... but I just want to thank you, personally,
for taking on the responsibility to protect us from such
dangerous delinquents as that shady horseraddish character.

The funniest thing about this is that aleczandah's critisism
(in that "how to improve xltronic" post by him) was
effective, since somebody added some sort of christmas
decorations at the top.

Your praise is appreciated...

Just to clear something up, horsefactory tells me he hasn't
come back through any underhand method... he is temp
banned and can't post, yet appeared in the side bar for
quite a while after his ban for some reason.

Thank god, I can walk the streets safely for, what... a
week? We need to dig and get some dirt on this guy if that's
all we can book him for. Somebody frame him for murder or
something. Then we can be safe forever, that is all of us
except the person who elected to be killed in the murder
framing.

I remember when I first saw the giant letters he posted. I
thought, "wow, those are some big letters!" And... naively I
continued the logical train of thought that was to read
them. E... G... G...

...

C...

Oh my god...
At the scene of the crime, the other victims and I had no
idea that such a sickly twisted message lied therein. I hope
that guy's trial is before saddam's.

What does it look like being temp banned? Do you get some
kind of message or sticker at the top saying "You've been a
bad boy/girl go away for a while" or something?

when you're temp banned and try to post it'll say in red
letters after you hit "submit" that you're temp banned and
can return in however many days. when you're perm banned you
can't access the MB at all (not even read only), it's a 1
sentence note on a dark grey background.
