i like the first tune on brothomstate's qtio ep. its not strictly rap vox, as its just a sample from the pharcyde - but i like the way he cuts it up & fucks with it..
"shootin for the heart got my finger on the trigger, she can be my broad & i can be her - "

wait is this the selftitled pole release? I have it but have not listened to it yet. As a matter of fact i will do that now and get back to you because it appears that it could very well be a horrible idea.
Not the IDM/Rap in general but the fact that Pole has had great releases (1,3,r) and this would seem to tarnish it.

Doing a quick overview i noticed the following:
track 1/slow motion: You could tell it was the same old pole. The sounds were ever so similar to those from the days of old. I think that the lyrics kind of tainted the song. IMO Pole was great without lyrics. Overall the lyrics alone were nothing amazing.
Track2/Bushes: Which serves as a good base of compairison. Not bad but as his style has under gone an evolutionary change i find myself doubting this release. Although i should make mention that this track is far better than the first. Which again is just my opinion.
Track3/Umbrella: So far this is the best in order of my listening. More poleish but has a different chillout listening vibe.
Track4/arena: I found myself disappointed hearing the vocals return.
After saying that i feel as though that for me the vocals could remain removed and i could find this far more enjoyable.

No alex you are fucking wrong. As the biggest Pole fan who will probably never get to see Pole i must add that you are Joccoish.
This is just more of a "chillish, lets go smoke nugs with our trendy eastside friends" release. I like it

- push button objects "3 doctors" from ghetto blaster album - bola "mauver" - jello "lungbone" (the version on lungbone ep)
also machine drum's "urban biology" is a good hip-hop influenced album. there's a lot of samples but i don't think theres any "live" rapping though.
