Im so looking forward to another Aphex twin album and im
sooo looking forward to Ultravisitor by Squarepusher..

But really, i know good work takes allot of time but these
old granpha artist like Tom and Richard.

Are they getting slow and old or what's the deal ?

Look at Venetian snares, he spits out records like a maniac
(not as good thou)

What you guys think ?

are they to slow ?

i think Venetian snares will be extremely huge in about 3
years or so, he spits out records and will be seen more,
aphex and others they seem to get slower and slower.

I fear that i will never hear another great Aphex record
again.

VS will never be as good as aphex, no matter how much I like
him...... tho I love VS it's no where NEAR as complex as
some of richard's releases.....

haha, i always thought a snares album is easier to create
than a quality AFX album...

And then, there are more artists you know

im not saying vs will be better then aphex, never, i will
never think he is better either.

But as he realeses allot more, many mopre ppl will here his
music and im at the same time afraid that rdj will be so
slow that ppl forget about him (not the true fans) but the
ppl who like rdj but not really love..

and there are more artsit i know, but not artists that i
love as much as SP and Aphex

if vsnares released 1 album a year instead of 3 then that
album would be genious if it was made out of the best tracks
with a nice flow

i think aphex has been pretty prolific over the last 10-15
years.. he's always said he only releases albums so that he
doesn't have to get a proper job. satisfying 'fans' (i dont
like that word, dont know why) has never been at the top of
his list of priorities - so i doubt he's in any hurry to
bring out records.

i'd love to see afx releasing 2 or 3 albums per year...even
if there were some crappy tunes because of that

and i like that vsnares is releasing this much, there isnt
much difference in quality of his tracks, so i like to see
as much as possible from him

Venetian Snares sucks ass.
you can hater me for saying this but the music blows, its
just a bunch of psychotic noise thats annoying. i would buy
his albums he spits out just so i can melt them, recording
myself doing it and sending all you VS fans the tape.

snares would be alot better if he took his time.

Good quality music takes time

if you want crazy music that goes together and acually
sounds GOOD try atari teenage riot.
it baffles me how much some of you MB members acually like
VS

I agree _awt_, yet Aphex is a natural talent. He has a
natural talent for electronic, i mean he did invent the
stuff. Aphex is a legend and a legend does not fade to those
who still believe in them. As far as i'm concerned I will
never lose faith in him. To me this is not a matter of if,
but a matter of when. There will be another great record,
don't doubt it.

well - venetian snares is 28 years old - hes not exactly a
youngun - and he has been spending 16 hours a day working on
music for the last while - now, if you assume he releases
say, 3 albums a year - each an hour long - thats 3 hours of
music he has picked.

if he spends 16 hours a day only 5 days a week on music for
a year - thats 4,080 hours he has spent in a year on music -
give or take a thousand for touring and whatnot.

after all that producing, releasing 3 (usually awesome, i
like all of his albums in their own respect) albums a year
doesnt sound like he is rushing too much. now, if he
released 400 albums a year you may think he is rushing it a
bit, but i think hes fine at the pace he works now.

That remix Aphex did of 'run the place red' was pretty
wicked. V Snares is cool. I still think his most individual
piece of work has been 'Doll Doll Doll' no one can touch him
on that. 'Chocolate Wheelchair' was pretty unique, not too
sure how I'd rate it to Aphex but Snares is a serious
talent, not every record he does is instant but he is no
doubt a very interesting character to follow.
