promotion.
im not sure what it ahould contain ....
definetly it will be something not too hard, like my past
works ( maybe you heard them )
im in trouble - should it be Ep ? LP ?
what style of cover ?
i have head full of ideas - what should i do ?

maybe someone would help me ?

an ep of 4 or 5 tracks of pure sounding synth melodies with
very subtly building rhythmic backings, with a greyish
purple cover with a weird dull pinkish blurred shape on it.

make an ep that is a good summary of your sound. and try to
get it copyrighted.

design a package concept that looks like your music sounds.
to do it cheaply and quickly, only put about 4 or 5 of your
favorite tracks on it. only print a couple hundred,
assembling them by hand. you can get liner notes and labels
printed cheaply at a copy store.
you can buy blank cd's and jewl cases online from many
places relatively inexpensively.
Give them to anybody and everybody that will listen. local
dj's, your friends, record labels, college radio stations,
family members, people at shows etc...

i can't say this has "worked" for me but i have moved a lot
of my little ep's which means a lot of people have heard my
music. that's all i was interested in doing, making it easy
for people to hear my stuff.

copyrighting is not too difficult.... in many countries
copyright is automatic once you publish something in a fixed
or tangible form.

you just need to pay to register it - there should be
something online to help you... just look in google or
something. most countries have agencies that handle that.

the way i had my work copyrighted, is first i published it
myself on cd-r (published = legal definition: to make
available to the public through sales, as a gift, etc. any
way it exchanges hands between you and someone else)
and then filled out a form for copyrighting a sound
recording, mailed it with two copies to the US copyright
office, and copyright is considered registered WHEN IT
ARRIVES at the Copyright Office. (it takes a few months to
process though, i'm talking like five or six, but that's
just you waiting to get your official certificate, it's stll
copyrighted nonetheless) Voila! I'm sure Poland has a
similar system.

do what YOU want to do.

if you are making a record, make your own choices.

not trying to be mean, but it is your work, so I think you
should make these decisions.

well put.

copyright is definitely a wise choice, but no EXACTLY
necessary.

yeah, your point, but i just wanted advice rather about
material which will be on cd-s , i wasnt expecting
copyrights - in fact i wasn't thinking about it at all !!!
funny

i see that there's much to do
and the point is that these cd's are going to Dj recordshop
in the first place - you know that these places are
different than others...so i was curious your opinions about
it

thanks you all, anyway
