The Trabant Chai Lounge in Seattle is requesting
space/cosmo music for a compilation they will play + sell
in their store.

The tunes should be electronic (or at least processed) and
for the most part more on the chill side, BUT dancy high bpm
tunes are also very welcome as long as the feel of the track
is not aggressive or too dancy. satellite beeps, cosmonaut
samples, and such stuff is good in ambient-ish and idm-ish
music Make it as complex or as minimal as you desire, as
long as it feels intune with the cafe's theme. mid-era
Autechre, Vromb, Infra Red Army, Burger & Ink, Electric
Birds, Marco Passarani, Pan American... all these artists
have some material that I can imagine being listened to in a
space station.

The cafe theme: Ok, the cafe is going to serve chai,
pastries, and light food, such as salads. It's going to feel
very "retro industrial" in the sense that there is lot of
metal surfaces, a stained concrete floor, metal (mostly)
light fixtures, institutional chairs for the 1960s, and
surface-mounted conduit. The walls will be varying blue
hues, and there will be some deep bright but burnt-ish warm
color accents throughout. There will be a big Yuri Gagarin
and rocket mural, as well as Mir and sputnik models. So it's
almost as if you have walked into a soviet space-race
propaganda poster! There will be a warm lounge area with
couches. There is an upstairs mezzanine area that can't be
opened with seating right now, so we're figuring out how we
can utilize it as a gallery or something similar. There will
also be a DJ booth (eventually) up there for inhouse
entertainment, but clubby. The cafe will be open as late as
possible to provide a place to chill with friends or while
doing homework, checking email, etc...

check out the project page if you want to participate and/or
submit a track...or listen to the stuff already submitted
:P
