Warp sent me Venetian Snares - Find Candace and Arc 003
Louis Digital, the latest release on Warps Arc series. Im
impressed with Venetian Snares, its the first time ive
listened to any work by him and i like it, it reminds me of
some of Rephlex's recent releases, havnt heard Arc 003 yet
cos i havnt got me new turntable but the previous Arc
releases have been ok so hopefully this one will be too

Yesterday I bought the V/Vm compilation 'It's
Fan-Dabi-Dozi', and a couple of CDs on the Progressive Form
label.

This week I've received 12 free CDs in the post, which I'm
discovering is a pretty damn good plus side to running a
radio station :D

its warps atempt to release something more 'dancefloor
orientated'! thats what the hype said anyway. There all
worth checking out i have all three in the series and they
are all pretty good. re the dennis rusnak track, i dont know
about that

its not an arc series.

Warp has a new sub label called Arcola. the catalogue
numbers start with a "ARC", and the artists are sort of
secretive in that no one seems to know who they REALLY are.
so people just call it arc.
its very good stuff. 4 12" so far. very limited. its warp
venture back into the more dancier side of idm.
i have ARC 0-4. I am almost positive 0 is brothomstates. 0
is the first arcola release, and the most obscure. nothing
on it but the catalogue number.

And if you liked find candice, you'll LOOOOVE doll doll
doll!

Bob:

I got it 'cause it was a recommendation from a guy I know
really well in the shop who's into the whole warp scene...

I guess it's really funky glitched-up electro stuff that
sounds really cool and quite intricate and detailed. Got a
bit of filler but a few amazing tracks on it too....

Worth picking up, I'd say...
