Fantastic title and a perfect sequel as far as I'm concerned..... however the storyline absolutely vexes me. Mona is still alive, most of the Inner Circle is still alive.... and plus Max is working with the guy who was chasing him in the last game... what?
still fantastic with the gunfights though - the Bullet Time is even smoother in this game. And the music is BRILLIANT.

It is basically the same as the original but with a few advancements. Love Max Payne though, especially the Kung Fu version that is mind blowing.

exactly - i noticed no new improvements either - but Max Payne was already damned good as it was. i think the hallucination sequences are a bit more bearable now.

Yep, same old, same old... but if it ain't broke, don't fix it! So much damn fun.
Running into a room full of mobsters, diving and mowing them all down in bullet time, all before hitting the ground... awesome.
It's got brains too, ultra stylish.
The physics are great! Anything can be knocked down or displaced, and the bodies are all ragdoll and it's so sadistically fun to shoot someone off a ledge and watch them plummet onto a box, bounce off, land on their head and then roll down some stairs.
Game of the year for me.

No new improvements? How bout the graphics.. and more importantly, the awesome physics! Max Payne 2 definately has the best physics this side of Halflife 2 (basically best ever until HL2 is released).

yeah but how could they not? It's impossible to resist a world that reacts so true to life to all forms of contact, in a game!
