We have this mobileholic at work. He gets a new phone every
2-3 weeks. It's just his way of getting anyone to even talk
to him. He's the typical wiseguy-department-hopping-reject
that no one likes. As soon as he opens his mouth, you regret
you said anything to him.

Anyway, his latest is that very same Samsung. The camera
seems nice, with the zoom and stuff. The screen sure is
better/brighter than my Nokia 3650. I would've gone with the
Nokia 6600 or the weirdo 7200 when it comes out. The 7200
has 29MB! of memory.

I'd say gamecube and xbox are pretty evenly matched.. xbox
has the best graphics but even more shitty games than
gamecube, and the cube definately has the superior
controller. The cube cant play cd's or dvds but minidisks
are sooo cool =p, the xbox is the size of an old vcr, the
gamecube is small and compact newage console design. If
anything, get a gamecube to go along side your xbox on top
of your PS2! ;)

better games? halo is not for gamecube. neither is fuzion
frenzy, which takes a big shit all over any mario party
games. morrowind is not for gamecube, which is the best rpg
ever made. i'd rather play the most detailed rpg known to
man with an EXCELLENT storyline than run around as a cell
shaded child swinging my sword at cartoon dragons.

you can't rip soundtracks on the gamecube.

anyone that has a problem with an xbox controller is a
midget and thus not able to use ANY console controller.

i may be wrong with this, but gamecube doesn't have
downloadable content online as far as i know.

enter the matrix for the gamecube is 2 discs because they
are gay and decided to make discs a size that makes them
only useful as coasters, and i used to work at blockbuster
and we'd have problems ALL the time with gamecube discs
becoming detatched in thier cases and bouncing around and
getting scratched. normal size discs don't do that.

doom 3 and half life 2 will not be available on gamecube.
and if they are, you will have to buy the game on a
cd-spindle.

oh and ps2 had its glory days but they have long since
passed as their highlights now are things like FFX2 (wtf?)
and 18,000 games that are just using the GTA engine.

did i mention you can rip your cd's to the xbox hard drive
and play them in games? that's AWESOME. there is nothing
like playing gta3 and vice city while listening to draft
7.30. NOTHING.

but maybe i'm just biased.

Haha, ok, where to begin. Obviously, everything you say
about xbox games is an opinion. So allow me to express mine
- Halo is boring, what a run of the mill FPS, why it ever
got so much attention is beyond me. Morrowind is detailed,
but who gives a shit when the game itself is so boring?
Here's an idea, let me run around ENDLESSLY searching for
yet another cave on yet another quest that has nothing to do
with the main storyline, did I mention that I'm 20 hours
into the game and still don't know what the storyline is?
Blocky character animations, bad graphics (other than the
water), and this is on the PC version! Enter the matrix is
the worst game ever, so who gives a fuck how many discs it
is? If you wan't a game that is LOADS better and still has
some elements from the matrix, get Max Payne 2. The orignal
xbox controller is just too big (i have big hands), and if
your denying it, well then you're in denial. The new,
smaller controller is fine but I just prefer the gamecube
controller. You cant rip cds on a gamecube, but really I
could care less because I have what is known as a "computer"
with a "cd-burner" and loads of mp3s, so I can make my own
soundtracks anyway. As far as I know, doom 3 and halflife 2
wont be on xbox anyway, but you seem to have news otherwise.
At any rate, I have a PC that I do all my hardcore gaming
on, so I will get doom 3 and HL2 for that. I just wanted the
gamecube because there are some cool games that are only for
nintendo, by nintendo. As far as I'm concerned, console
gaming is subpar to computer anyway, for reasons of graphics
and control (can't beat keyboard and mouse).

So does it play gamecube games or what? If it plays GC games
then It's a gamecube, end of story.

I ordered a new mobile phone today. Just over a year ago I
went through a spell where everyone who rang me was people I
didn't want to speak to, bringing news I didn't want to
hear. It got to the stage where the phone ringing was really
fucking me up, so I switched it off and have only had it on
since to make calls.

Well, that's a pretty untenable state of affairs so I've
ordered a new phone (Nokia 6310i) with a new number that I'm
only going to give to people I like hearing from, so I can
leave it switched on without fear :D

WELL...

1) in morrowind, they tell you exactly where to go for the
main storyline quests. it's not the game programmers fault
when they say "walk south until you see a legion fort and
turn left to find the cave" and you can't do it. i have
morrowind on xbox and the graphics are just fantastic. it
has wonderful anti-aliasing that i have yet to see on most
computers. also, just because you're not following the
storyline and doing quests for other people doesn't make it
a bad game.
2) i have no problems with enter the matrix so that is a
matter of opinion.
3) halo has the best AI i've seen in a first person shooter.
plus i know tons of people that aren't into video games at
all but we can all get together and have a good time
deathmatching in halo. it's just got something that appeals
to wide audiences, i don't know what it is.
4) doom 3 and half life 2 will be for xbox.
5) PC's may be better in that you get to use a mouse for
control, but you can get a mouse for practically every
console, and you don't have to buy a new console every 2
years to continue playing good looking games. for PC games
you have to upgrade constantly and $150 bucks for a console
that will last 5-10 years (psx was around forever) is better
than having to buy a new $180 video card every time a new
game comes out.
plus consoles are way more stable and you're not going to
put a disc in and get some unintelligible "dll error" and
have to go download a million patches off the net.
6) the whole thing with the soundtracks is that you get the
MUSIC of your choice plus the SOUND FX of the game. this is
considerably difficult to do using cd's not ripped on to the
console.

oh yeah and xbox is HDTV and widescreen compatible which i
don't have but if i ever do i will be very glad. it is also
surround sound compatible, but i do not know if gamecube or
ps2 have that. perhaps you will.

Yes, Gamecube is HDTV (not sure about widescreen) and
surround sound compatible. I'm sorry but morrowind is just
not fun to me at all. Do you really enjoy running and
running and running, then just constantly swinging your
sword in the same fashion at every enemy? Maybe the graphics
were done better on xbox but on PC they definately arent
anything to brag about (I just have a feeling you don't know
what PC graphics are truly capable of). I agree that you
have to upgrade PC's to keep up, but you don't have to buy a
new video card every time a new game comes out. Although ATI
has released the Radeon 9800 pro with 256 memory and 256bit
bus, my radeon 9500 with 128mb memory and 128bit bus has
done me good with no lag problems with the graphics always
on the highest settings. I just like the fact that PC games
can have a)mods made for them, b) generally have better
graphics, c) generally have a wider range of genres (there
arent too many console RTS's) and d) don't limit you to any
one setting. If your graphics card cant handle the settings
all the way up, scale them down some, then if you get a
better card later you can turn them up for a different
experience. I always thought it was kind of neat how PC
games arent limited to one set of hardware specifications
like console games, but can be scaled independently. As for
the music, most games allow you to turn music all the way
down or simply switch it off, allowing you to put on your
own music and still keep the sound effects.

thing that impressed me about Morrowind was that
architecture does NOT look the same in most towns.

and how hard is it to remember where you have been?

and what had you been doing in those 20 hours before you

he played the game for 2 weeks before he even got to 'the

a while since I've played morrowind so I don't even remember
what the starting quest was. Oh, and the architecture is the
