WHAT in THE FUCK??? Whoever chose these awards should be stabbed. Game of the year: Madden? MADDEN?! It's a great game, and easily the top of American football, but goddamn, the engine is RARELY changed from year to year and i've seen PLENTY of games that topped it. Sorry, but I can't consider a game that continues to utilize the same engine BEST GAME OF THE YEAR. Best crime game: GTA:Vice..... okay, that i definitely agree with. :D Best action game: TRUE CRIME: STREETS OF LA ---- This game is NOT GREAT or spectacular by any means. Many of its "action" sections were sloppy at best - Viewtiful Joe is superior to this game in every record, as are many of Sony's recent first party platformers. Best fantasy game: Jedi Knight..... while i loved Jedi knight, considering we're talking about FANTASY here, how about Xenogears, Suikoden III, or better yet, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Anyways, if this awards ceremony continues to award titles so unproperly, I will kill the board that selects the winners myself. |

all the awards are selected by people who voted on their site Madden's engine is vastly improved this year in important areas such as defensive back play, playmaker control, and the running game. Fact is Spike TV is an american t.v. station so americans voted for the games on the website, and most of the people who watch Spike TV (being that it's a men's network) like sports. Go figure. |
