Edirol is Roland's budget department. They're all good.

If you use alot of softsynths and stuff, check out the Korg
MicroKontrol. More expensive, more flexibility.

i recently bought m-audio radium49 (also 8knobs+8sliders,
but 4 octaves) and im not very pleased with it. the refresh
rate on the knobs and sliders really sucks, you really need
interpolation on the client.

if you have extra $$$, i recommend you novation remote 25

I've got a Roland ED PC-300, which is excellent! Think it
costs in the neighbourhood of 200..
