What about all those starving kids that won't have anything
to celebrate on New Years Eve beacuse they're going to have
another shit year infested with famine and poverty.

what's your point? This situation is happening 24/7, not
just at Xmas

my point is that we should think of them more often,
especially at times when we are stuffing our fat faces with
junk and spending cash on crap.

What's your point?

16 eh, that means you will LEGALLY be allowed to have sex,
smoke, play the lottery, get married (but not celebrate with
alcohol, or drive your wife home!), ride a 50cc moped, errr
anything else?

Not much. And I won't be doing any of that anyway,
especially get married. (Not one for tradition, me).

blah, quit trying to sound all enlightened... anyone who
says they don't enjoy getting presents for Christmas is
lying... but no, it's not all about presents... Christmas is
just awesome, the gift giving and getting is just one part
of it... I enjoy the time off, the feeling, the decorations,
the music, etc, etc... Christmas just has a happy
feeling...

plus this year is extra special cause I'm going home 4 days
before Christmas, so I get to see my family, friends, and
home for the first time in months...

snow, yule logs, chirpy robins, great tv specials, being at
peace with your family, getting everything you asked for.

A typical Christmas has none of these.

I don't ask for presents.... I suggest things I like. I'm
never dissapointed, I love my family and I love spending
time with them, I see robins all the time in November and
December. Snow not so much. Chocolate logs are better! I
never watch TV over Xmas. why would you watch Tv when you're
with your family? you might as well just sit at home on your
own for fuck sake. Christmas is a fucking great time! :D

not slush..... :(

One year the snow was trampled down into ice after a few
days. I had these real shit trainers with no grip and got my
brother to tie a tow rope around my waist so I could
'snow-ski' from his bike!

I hurt myself in the end tho... :(

Christmas is the best time of year, bar none. I can't wait.
And I'm not going to let any spoilsports try to cramp my
style.

I have to work Christmas Eve though... the only day I get
off is Christmas day. This is a new and horrific experience
for me.

yeah, a couple years ago I had to work Christmas Eve and
Boxing Day... it sucked... this year I have over two weeks
off, and I ain't doing shit all... then I go back to school,
and I might call up my old place of work and see if they
need a part time employee!!
