at first i thought this was going to be a continuation of
drummersfuneral! I think this track is very atmospheric,
there are sounds there like a sort of distorted sitar, i can
imaging watching a sunset in India while this track is
playing. Its as calming but with an element of danger.

Thanks for listening :P

I try to make happy, nice, or soothing music and it always
comes out sounding a bit sinister. Ah well :D

the intro reminded me of Blade Runner.
i like when those whumping ringing noises come in. later.
i would have liked it if they were a bit more sparse but it
sounds good like it is.

it has a very metallic sound. like it's inside a huge metal
can. that might be partly why its sounds a bit sinister.
its like grinding metal. which makes the name of the track
seem appropriate.

Thanks...I wasn't sure if it worked. If I could go back and
change it now I would probably alter the whumping sounds,
clean them up a little. Sorry I didn't notice your reply
before.

1) I havn't asked you to listen to mine.

2) I haven't refused to listen to yours.

3) I have actually listened to yours.

4) I can't listen to your stuff any more because it is on
"Wire FM" the internet site for gays...why oh why don't you
move. :P

Yep- Vangelis springs to mind :)

I wouldn't say it sounds sinister though... it's a rainy
city at night, but it's not threatening.

Good track ecnadniarb.

By gay, I don't been pooper scooper...I mean when I click
the link to play the music it opens in a little window
designed for quicktime, which means I can't control
anything, even the volume doesn't work because half of it is
off the screen.

I can't download music onto the machine I am on, so I have
to stream. Hope this explains a little better by what I
meant by gay.

i'd say its a mediocre track, although the first minute
really got my thinking of blade runner since someone
mentioned it

Cheers mister,

I have got some proper tracks coming up, much much much
better quality than anything I have posted before. Because
all of a sudden I realised that I had been approaching
things the wrong way...and I can finally produce stuff that
sounds the way I want it.

heh, the problem with ambient stuff is that 9 times out of
10 it sounds shit to everyone but the person who produced
it.

what program do you use?

I use programs now...that was where I was going wrong. I
have used various programs (I only started making music
about 8 months ago) but I haven't really took sounds across
from one to another. Basically I have been really lazy in
the past because I couldn't get shit to sound the way it
does in my head. Now though, I am getting to the stage
where things are sounding the way I want them to. It's all
part of the learning curve :D

A very cool track, a very rich and full sound. I especially
like the chaotic metallic percussion break towards the end.
Comparsion to Vangelis is kind of apt but also misleading
because this track has a far more menacing undertone which
is my favorite aspect of the entire song.

dr. ecnadniarb. very cool. very dark and menacing, yes
(maybe i'm the only one who ever feels that way about
my tracks, but i know what you mean when you say you
try to make them soothing or with lots of emotion, etc.).
very simple, but just...nice. lately i've decided that neat
and simple and mostly tidy is what i'm onto for the time
being. this track is exactly that. nicely done, mate. =]

posted back in the thread to thank evolume, it wasn't really
intended to be a bump...but hey, it's all good :D!!!
