haha, its always that way i guess, people who live in that certain city usually dont visit this famous monuments/places city is known by...but if one comes as a tourist visits it each time :)
its the same with me and our castle (the main outlooking point in my town) - i dont think i was up there more than 3 times :)
i'd post some pics about my city but we dont have anything that special...its a nice small quiet town - and the capital city at the same time...its actually quite nice to live here

George Vanderbilt created Biltmore Estate in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge
Mountains more than a century ago as a retreat for family and friends;
a place to rediscover gracious hospitality and revel in nature’s beauty.
His vision holds true today. Explore Biltmore House, a magnificent 250-room
château filled with priceless art and antiques. Stroll through century-old
gardens designed by America’s first landscape architect. Savor award-winning
wines and taste our chefs’ creations using estate-raised foods. Enjoy our
8,000 acres of forests, farmlands, and rivers on bikes, horseback, and rafts.
We invite you to discover Biltmore Estate—named a national wonder and one of America’s top destinations by National Geographic Traveler.
Biltmore Estate is open 8:30 A.M.–5:00 P.M. seven days a week (opens at 9:00 A.M. January–March). The only days the estate is closed are Thanksgiving and Christmas Days.
For information about tickets and visiting, click here or call us at

ecnadniarb: we have similar things like that, strange human sized statues of people sitting on benches and at a chessboard and whatnot, also the mall I was mentioning has a few of these in it as well.... one is in one of the food courts... quite strange
*** I thought this topic could give people a chance to show what their city has that is interesting.. er.. or town or whatever.

cool!.... well not really, but interesting.
there was suitcase murdere in my city, I used to sometimes eat in the place he worked, he hacked up a girl into pieces, threw them in concrete and then into the river and shoved her torso into a suitcase and threw it in as well.... the suitcase murderer!... many strange killings in my city.
