any tips ? i'm low on cash, but i'm the kinda person who
rather spends his last money on a record than on food or
something.. heh

can you guys not buy records for a long period of time ?

i kinda have the same problem, i'm often low on cash, but
when i walk into my recordstore and see some good releases i
can't keep myself from buying them :\ although i know i
don't even have the money for it

i shouldn't even be around recordstores in the first place,
i rarely walk out without having bought something

so uhh.. don't expect any advice from me :D

but you see, i download lots of stuff. but i just don't want
a collection of ugly cd-r's. it's good for backing up stuff
you have on rare vinyl or for in the car. bu that's it.

today I walked into a record store and had no money on me,..
I saw tri repetae, and incunabula on vinyl, I nearly cried
as I left the store,.. I'm considering driving 3hours each
way to canberra (I was there today on business, now I'm back
in sydney) on the weekend to get those releases,

Everyone prefers originals, and I do buy some now and then,
usually stuff that's part of a series or one of my top 5
bands. But I always download 'em first. I hardly ever browse
record stores for albums, I always look at dvds... better
value mun.

I'm useless at not buying records. I know I can't afford to
buy them this month. But I know I will anyway. There's a UI
Blue on eBay that I'm tempted by and a Words and Music Promo
disc. I'm keeping an eye on the prices. I shouldn't spend
the money though. Although when broadband is finally
installed in my house I can spread releases out over a wider
period as I can download them first. I managed to ban myself
from eBay for a month once but that was damn hard. I can't
help looking so to do a month was good. I rarely go in a
record shop either without buying something. I do manage to
put down albums I know I can get cheaper another time
though. So that's a good thing. Ermmmm, no advice here
actually.

they don't put the CD in the case :(
well in HMV they do, but trrying to get a CD out of therre
is not worrth the efforrt.
and on top of that the shops in town don't have the CDs i

If I don't have cash I usually make a list of what I need /
want to buy.
I usually just download one or two tracks for preview, and
then when I finally by the album I experience a little
adventure with it (if it's good)...

man... I burn tonnes of full cds!.... full albums organized
and everything with covers and backs... why? because if I
were to buy all the cds i wanted ... well id never EVER be
able to do it unless I was rich, I have almost 600 cds now,
many are bought too, but shit.... 600 multiplied by regulare
cd priced.... would be outragous. not to mention there are
almost that many more I have my eyes on.

i burn many cd's, because i can't afford to buy all the

it's funny to me how it seems quite logical to many people
to burn mp3s to cd because they can't afford to buy all the
