do you ever get the feeling there's to much music being
released?

i've bought about 20 albums recently - most of it this year
releases...and most of them are awesome
im sure im gonna buy at least 20 more until the end of the
year as i already read about some new ones...this is all
good, but the thing is i dont have that much time to hear
all this music, and im listening to it at least 5 hours per
day
i simply dont have the time to listen to the music i bought
half a year ago or before that (with some exceptions).

im mostly focusing on electronic music, if i wanted to get
into some other geres im sure i could do nothing else but
listen to the music 24/7

how do you feel anout this? having the same problem?

I don't see it as a problem... I think there are periods
when a lot of good music is being released, and then there
are periods when there are very little good music being
released.
Some albums I buy I listen to a lot, some I just listen to a
couple of times.
What I like the most is when I listen to an old album I've
had for a while and remember what happened around the time I
listened to it the most.
I really like that, brings me up. :)

to assimilate

"some I just listen to a couple of times"

see my problem?...if there werent so many albums out there,
we'd have more time to listen to particular album better

i usually listen to new album i get rapidly...with skiping
tracks, searching for something that would get my
attention...if i dont find that i usually dont give it a
second go

this happened recently with "feed me weird things" - i
probably havent listened to this one since i got it couple
of years ago...someone started a thread about it, and i gave
it another go - im quite fond of it now :)

check/listen to music properly

yeah, but god knows how many wonderful albums i have lying
there, waiting to be rediscovered :)

and with all this new music being released i simply dont get
the time to listen to old ones...well at least not often

i agree completely. though, like everyone else says it's
probably better than there being too little good music
released.

i agree, there's too much music (its becoming like poetry,
everyone can make it, only a few care).

i guess the reason it seems like there is too much music is
because there is too much music for any one person.
sometimes that's overwhelming and annoying.

i like to really get acquainted with the music i have, but
since there's so much good stuff from the past few years
that i'm trying to catch up with, i barely have time... it's
frustrating, but i guess there could be much better things
to complain about :)

it's not really a problem - record labels, especially the
bigger ones, have to cater to many different tastes. so a
wide variety of music releases is usually good thing.

i think to be a good musician and a tasteful listener, you
have to listen to and appreciate many different forms of
music.

except jennifer love hewitt. FUCK her.

old, and there's always something to inspire you.

how much time you spend listening music?

It's more a question of quantity over quality atm so I'm not
really bothered by it. I mean, I can probably count this
years good releases on one hand and have fingers to spare.
Most of todays music is just disposable triple rehashed
filler trash.

contain at least more than half the album's worth of good
tracks.... let's see....

- hail to the thief

I still prefer the unmastered versions of "I will" and
"2+2=5" on that album.
What are the names of the 2 tracks you listened to?
