music man does the job, but it's ugly and it costs
money, but with the right combination of letters and numbers
it should do the job

playing a windows-format? wma or something else. don't know
what it was. and don't really care either.

Ashampoo is a good music suite... I'm sure that Musicmatch
Jukebox will do it, and maybe even Foobar.

just use winamp. make a playlist, set the output to 'write
to wav'. then drop all the wavs on razorlame.

Why bother having to do all those steps when you can use a
program to convert directly from wma to mp3?

Anyway, who the fuck would have that sack of shit known as
Winamp on their system these days?

cos it's less of a system hog and generally better than
iTunes or Media Player.

Ah right, so because it's better than two other sacks of
shit.... because the choice is limited to three, right?

a plug in for internet radio broadcating....... streams
audio from winamp to a dedicated server that then
distributes the audio

Well I've got foobar2000 as well, but I like the feel of the
Classic View of Winamp 5.

I use foobar also. When listening to music, I generally
don't feel the need to stare in wonder at the piece of
software providing me with sonic pleasure.

"I generally don't feel the need to stare in wonder at the

Did I say that I stare at it. Maybe if you spend less time
being a smart arse SOB and more time reading then you would
notice that I wrote I prefer the feel of it not the look.
The Classic View offers all the functionality of a great mp3
player, without the bulk of others. Plus the sound quality
is EXACTLY the same as foobar, so I don't feel the need to
switch anytime soon. Plus the lite version of Winamp has an
even smaller install than Foobar.
