but perhaps it is manifested only as a being in existence,
not within an actual physical form.

i think that's what you're getting at...

thank you. the link does this thread all the more justice,
methinks.

but to elaborate on your explanation of choice - again,
there is the inherent paradox: "until something causes you
to return to the source" ... so isn't there an element of,
ahem, causality to existence then? if all things are
inherently interconnected, each part is necessarily
dependant on every other part - paradoxically, therefore, in
order for anything to exist, there must be its opposite -
lack of existence. same with choice.

i can see each part as being connected at one source but the
physical manifestations not being necessary to continue the
existence of the source. thus, since the manifestations
don't neccessarily need to exist, nothingness doesn't need
to exist. the manifestations choose to come into PHYSICAL
form, the source does not choose to exist. it is eternal.

if i said anything twice it's because i'm high.

all is well and fine, but someone explain to me this: if i
am but a part of the source, why is it that i have chosen
such a thorn-laden path for myself - what with having to
eat, sleep, poop and work for my daily bread? one would
think i would've been smart enough to choose a more cushy
mode of existence ...

the source of humanity, not the larger source, only the one
that forms humans, has taken on the form that we now embody.
humanity chose to be able to eat delicious foods, but
because of the laws of the source that spawns the scientific
laws we have regarding energy transfer and whatnot, we have
to be able to poop as well. when humanity was first trying
out "existence", it didn't have to commute 2 hours to an
office job for shitty wages to afford a 1 bedroom apartment.
it stabbed deer with pointy sticks. our intellect,
however, has caused us to create technology. in order to
have that technology, we have to work to afford it.
nobody's stopping you from running around in the forest with
a sharp stick eating deer.

or better yet, why would the source make the choice to exist
as Dubya, living with the disillusionment that he is on a
mission from the Allmighty to save the Earth from Evil?!?

he's not. his environment, being america, is overrun by
those not enlightened enough to discuss issues such as the
one we're discussing now in the peaceful method we're
discussing now, have to be re-assured that their beliefs
about life and death are "correct". this unfortunately
means the eventaul erradication of all other beliefs,
because to alter the belief system in any way, despite
changing technology and greater intellect, would be to admit
to being...*gasp*...wrong at one point. to prevent this
from happening america votes in mr. god (or maybe not, there
was that whole recount thing) and his administration
convinces him to "get the edge on the competition". step 1:
oil step 2: the world.

we've all seen that step 1 is failing miserably, and if this
comes as a wakeup call to the country then it is proof that
nature and existence will sort of "even things out" and we
can go towards fixing the last 4 years.

i vote for "operation human evolution" where every human on
the planet gets mailed a tab of acid and a copy of gescom -
this.

manticore, remember that george w. bush, like each of us, is
only a child.
