I was going to buy this on DVD, it was in the bargain bin
for $AU 8. I bought Basquiat instead though, which is good.

Me and my girlfriend watched 'Alien' last night. She
thought it was crap but I made her watch it 'till the end.

how can she think it's crap!?

incredible.

truely one of my favourite films ever.

what didn't she like?

just today finished preparing the rest of the film in
avatars. I'm now at number 57. total number of avatars made
for "Alien": 115.

next up: "Aliens".

oh dear.

It's just girls and science fiction... she was showing
signs as soon as there was anything 'technological'!

the alien in the escape pod scared me again! It's sleepy...

as soon as there was anything technological? that's right
from the start then. the whole intro in the ship..

ah, the escape pod - yes when it lashes out it's hand. :)

I've just been avataring that part. sadly there wasn't a
screenshot of the bit when it slowly slides out it's
innerjaw. I always like that bit.

It does that three times, the metalic inner jaw, I was
grabbing her boob at the scary bits but she was more
concerned about where the cushions were.

no, that's not true.

Richard E. Grant is a T-totaller, he's even allergic to
alcohol, so he had never been drunk. Robinson insisted he
got completely pissed once before filming so he would create
"chemical memory".
so they did that. and Grant puked all over the carpet.

he never was drunk in any of the scenes at all - which just
shows how good an actor he is. :)
