MY music on VINYL?!?

Just got in touch with a friend who's been talking about
starting a vinyl label for some time, cause he's very close
with someone who has a vinyl presser.

the only catch is, that the music has to be fairly danceable
(henchforth vinyl-worthy) if it's going to be pressed.
should i do this under another psuedonym, or just release my
more accessible songs as singles, or not do it at all?

pseudonym i'd say.
I don't really know your music, but if it usually isn't very
'dancable', i think it'd be better to have 2 different
names.

Because... uh... well i can't really think of a good reason
why. It just feels like the thing to do :-p If i was in your
shoes i'd try to come up with a pseudonym.

why does it HAVE to be "danceable" to be on vinyl? you
should probably just put out your best tracks i think.

but if you want to release dance-music i think you should
use a pseudonym. maybe

danceable sells.

pressing to vinyl costs a lot.

not so long ago Mike P (on the Planet Mu phorum) actually
sketched the costs of him getting stuff made on vinyl or as
cd - with cd's he could actually make some money back, vinyl
is generally a loss.

yep. if you have danceable stuff, use it.

if you don't really like making danceable stuff, don't make
it especially for this release.

Oddio! Just give him your danceable stuff and release it
under the same name. Its great publicity for you if the
vinyl gets around. Its gonna be a bitch for your fans to
figure out and find your alter-alias releases. I hate that
shit.

the pseudonym must be dildo redbone.

i can't think of a reason to press your music onto vinyl,
except for the pleasure of spinning your own crackly music.

yeah that's a good point. actually, though i was thinking of
the psuedonym "Robot Master Gus."

however, the tracks aren't too clubbish - they're dancable
but tasteful, sorta like early AFX or Caustic Window. I'll
probably go ahead and release them under "Oddioblender"
though... maybe, i'm still thinking about it.
