it's pretty great, but mostly i want to say how i'm
disapointed at the venetian snares release section

and that this is the only thing under addict records

olympics shown on black tv years ago , funny clothes

but to be homest , if someone would tell me that these few
tracks are not from an Ep but from the last album i could
believe - its stil the same way of music from VS. nothing
new

what i said was that theres no evolution on VS albums, hes
still making the same and the same , no wondering about next
album coz it will be just like that last one....i like VS
but there is no evolution on it.

offline roygbivcore from Joyrex.com, of course! on 2003-11-09 17:05 [#00942875]

um

what? he evolves from every single album to the next?

offline roygbivcore from Joyrex.com, of course! on 2003-11-09 17:06 [#00942878]
Points: 22557 Status: Lurker

i mean

he definately does evolve

that question mark was wrong of me

offline hyakusen from 8=============> on 2003-11-09 17:07 [#00942882]
Points: 7021 Status: Addict

fuck

there is no evolution in VS music - from the first album to
the last one the sound is the same , no changes. music
should be like a plant - it should be growing. music from VS
, while it is good , is not growing - its standing in dead
drill'n'bass point , which was explored by AFX and
squarepusher years ago.

runs the store told us he had more than 1 copy... heh.

I'm getting into the Distort releases of Doormouse. etc.
But yeah, some work is to be done, and if you've offered to
help, I don't understand

i dunno man i was like "you should let me work on the
discography cause it's missing alot of great music" and
phobs was like "i'm really busy with my life right now" or
some excuse like that

but if you don't think there's been any evolution in snares

try listening to personal discourse (first track fomr his
first release) and bezcitny (last available track from the
t.b.c. album) and tell me there's no evolution

Squarepusher and Snares have some similarities, but Snares
is much wilder. He'll ride you hard and put you away wet.

He's too busy to let you help him? heh.

It'll happen.

And yeh, evolution in such a small amount of time! BAM!

in these months :( )

outdoor badminton is fun as fuck! you can dive around on the
grass and do all kinds of crazy shit that would severely
hurt you on a gym floor... plus, if you play in a back yard
or something, there's inevitable inequalities in the court:
one person has to stare directly into the sun, and avoid
breaking their ankle on a flower bed drop off, whereas the
other person has to avoid backing into pine trees or
slamming into planters on one side of the court... it's pure
chaos!

staying on topic... this li'l seven is pretty tastay... i
think i might prefer moonglow... but they're both real real
nice... it'd be interesting to have snares descend into some
sort of avant-freejazz type shit on a full length.... kind
of like Music is Rotted only more indicative of a snares
approach to such matters... (i'd expect it to be more
oblique, more chaotic, more noisy... etc.)

i find it to be really awesome. i think venetian snares is
best in small doses, like this and moonglow/this bitter
earth.
