I recommend you download the track 'geometry' off the album
with the same name. i think that track alone will be enough
to get you into Jega. it's just so beautiful

I usually skip Pappy Mix now because I've heard it so many
f'ing times! And Funny Little Man as well, that track makes
me cringe.

Apart from that though pure gold!

i only listen to this song really really fucking loud on
headphones. its magic when the pulse beat comes in. thats
the pappy mix of course.
flim and iz us are still my favorite songs of his.

best "IDM" release ever recorded IMO. it was my first proper
indtroduction to the music of Richard D James. (Digeridoo
was the only thing i was familiar with before). it was
december 7th, 1997 when my x-girl gave it to me as birthday
present. i had told her i wanted it after reading a very
positive review. it made a huge impact on my musical taste.

words to describe it:

innovative, diverse, inventful, emotional, humorus, intense,
beautiful, extreme. it's all there

work of genius. my favourite and most played-out CD

gotta love bucephalus bouncing ball. instant classic.
the rest of the album is great, with the exception of flim
and izus, they are worthless and empty. i dont know why
everyone likes them, maybe they contain subliminal messages
to force you to like them and my superior mind is immune,
thats the only explanation.

Iz-us owns.

I put Funny Little Man on a mix cd for a friend, he didn't
like it much.

I like it alot, but there is just no way that Little
Ford Faulteroy and Mummy mix are actually remixes of Come To
Daddy (the pappy version). I mean there are simple no
similarities whatsoever :-p It must be his weird sense of
humor or something, giving them those titles.

Anyway, a wonderful ep/album. By far the aphex-release with
the most lyrics... which i actually quite like about it. He
should use them more often.

ace release, what got me into aphex. Bucephalus bouncing
ball is amazing, good to see a bit of humour in the remixes
too!

Pappy Mix, Flim and Iz-Us are the only tracks I like on it.
I never understood the big deal about the EP at all. Stuff
like Lord Faulteroy, Funny Little Man, Mummy Mix... they
seem really, really bland, and nothing in them at all
appeals to me.

I'm listening to it now because of this thread... i can
never get over how good IZ-US is. I just love that tune.
It's absolutely perfect. He does in 3 minutes what takes BoC
66 minutes and 6 seconds ;-)

It's beautiful, sad, melancholic, uplifting, nostalgic,
fun... all at that same time. Maybe the best aphex-tune for
me.

"Stop making that big face!"

...except that i like Little Funny Man too.

it's not bad, it's still a quite good EP, but i almost never
listen to it. i must have listened to it in its entirety,
like, twice maybe...

highly recommend it.
i'm not so sure about the dillinger escape plan's take on
come to daddy tho'.....

related... weirdo.

Wicked EP- I have this on CD and 12"... and MP3... not many
other records I could say that about, if any.

i thought windowlicker was something screwed hawaiian
im talking about the beats on that song with that singing
about my arms, my legs and youou feet.. for instance
what ís that anyway, is it a well known english children
song, or by aphex (and now both)
i always thought the rmx on come to daddy was a hommage to
stockhause, btw, i like it better than the original one
