No.... I watch movies for everything that it has to give....
entertainment, Beautyfull filming, nice camera angles, actor
performences, emotionfull or not, etc.... But Matrix is good
and known for its special effects

effects are what movies are all about. but they don't
necessarily have to be computer-generated action-scenes...

no... and i won't go.

Matrix 2 was already a lot disappointing, nothing surprising
nor new... and i can imagine the disaster Matrix 3 must be
from what critics and people say...

they killed the series by making those sequels =/

when i saw matrix 2 i left the cinema after like an hour.
never done this before but that was the weakest film ever.
no acting no story no emotions just blank action and that is
not enough

qrter > ah, well... i phrased it badly, i admit, but you can
understand what i mean!! ; )

they killed the "Matrix" thing by making it a series, if you
want.

(that's weird, the world "series" used for just one... )

i actually watched the 1st part...dont know what was it
about anyomore, but imo you take effects away from matrix
and you get nothing :)

actually it's pretty easy to determine wether you are in the
matrix or not, just shoot at the black dressed guy and if
there is that wobbling thing then, yes, you are in the
matrix.
slow motion is an indicator too.

i don't watch movies for effects either. i watch them for
interesting plots, seasoned acting and unique directing.

I thought the scene in Reloaded where Neo was fighting all
those Smiths and he took that pole and flew around on it
kicking everyone looked really computer graphicky.

i think too many films these days rely on CG for most
everything - one of the reasons i really didn't enjoy Star
Wars: Episode II was because the over-usage of CG really
detached me from the film.

However, a film like Legend is still great for me. At least
the effects are believable, and i can grasp them to an
extent.

I saw it last night. Twas cool =oD

I thought it was gonna be crap during the 1st half hour or
so, but then it started picking up

I think I'd hyped it up in my head a little too much though
if you know what I mean. Would still recommend it though

all true about effects is that they're good when they
erteintain you and make really mental atmosphere. that's why
matrix and Terminator2 awarded oscars.
i think m1 and m2 effects ownz but in m3 they've lost heart.
nothing but pretty explosions and fights already seen in m2.
m3 hasn't defend itself, it was made too early with
reference to m2.
ps. tolstoyed, stop writing your silly posts
