Ive had it.

the damn thing isnt even a year old, its a pretty up to date
computer. I only have about 10 gigs of stuff on it(its a
120gig), and the memory never fucks up, so it cant be that.

Someone help me out, how do I make this thing stop skipping?
Its not just cds, its anything, flash vids, cd, mp3, etc.

I NEED help. Please help.

sounds like a buffering problem...

try to move your sound card to another PCI-slot. (i assume
it's a PCI-card?)

i've had this several times for different reasons, it always
was a software problem

possibilities: a virus scanner scanning the mp3 (or any
other file) when you open it,
spyware monitoring your multimedia activities,
unnecessary stuff loaded at startup (inspect registry)

i have these problems all the time. get spybot and configure
your virus scanner if you havent already

there are usually more than one type of PCI-slots (33/66).
66-type tend to handle soundcards more properly (faster).
