I vote for the new Coheed & Cambria CD, or maybe the new
Outkast.

You are overrated.

most likely

Critically? Think Tank. So many great reviews. Then a lot of
fans hated it and it sold about six copies, so that was
good.

Otherwise, Therapy?'s High Anxiety. Everyone said it was a
return to form, after the very poor Shameless. It was a
return to form, however, it was a return to and old form.
It's far less experimental and interesting than their last
few albums, and I think it really loses something because of
it.

The Mars Volta- De-Loused in the Crematoritum. Every rock
fan is jerking themselves off over this album, but it just
doesn't click with me though. Hail to the Thief is also very
unexciting, but I'm not sure it's overrated. It isn't
getting overly glowing reviews or anything... it's just
another Radiohead album.

Hail to Theif was overated, but it was still good. They're
making steady progress,but I don't think we'll ever see
another OK Computer again.

My vote is A Strangely Isolated Place. This album feels
almost cheesy to me,although it has its moments.

Speaking of Outkast,I think that knew track (hey yeah?) is
great, its one of them tunes that stick in your head at
work.

Maybe i'm just weird...

Nice to see another Therapy? fan on here too. Well, I used
to be anyway.

the mars volta - de-loused in the crematorium. I can't see
what makes this album so great.

i really like the outkast album. it was kind of a fluke
that i even listened to it, having never really listened to
Outkast at all. but, alas, it has seeped in and has become
probably my favorite hip-hop (well sorta hip-hop) album this
year. overrated? well i'd heard no ratings of it so from a
purely objective standpoint, i think it's great. if it's
getting good ratings, i think they are deserved.

Jarworski - It's so hard to find Therapy? fans around
(unless you pop back to 1994, perhaps). I didn't think
there'd be any others on here at all. :)

Please, just for me, someone define "overrated." does it
mean that something gets more praise than it deserves? this
would suggest that ratings are based on a standard of merit
and that at some point, the ratings exceed this standard.
who sets this standard? and shouldn't it be taken into
account the parties dispensing these ratings?

if you claim an album is overrated, could you also mention
the standard to which the merit of said album is being
compared, and by what amount said album has exceeded this
standard of ratings. this would give me a bit more
perspective as to the accuracy of your claim.

a poor person named jack anderson down the street at smittys
car shop sets the standard.

his favorite thing this year is aoki takamas - indigo rose,
and according to him everything else sucks.

clarence park was ok, JUST....
ceramics is the bomb was great.....
so to finish it off........
empty the bones of you was crap, silly christopher clark,
your music is supposed to get better, not worse. according
to the pattern, the next release will rock the house!

amount of praise when it only deserves minimal to NO praise.

I agree with evolume... which is weird... but the term
"overrated" is so stupid... it's not overrated... if I rate
an album as excellent, and you rate it as crap, you'd say I
overrate it... no I don't, I like it... you just don't...
