I must be retarded - there's been a new version out for
yonks - well a little more than a month anyhoo - and I only
just noticed.

go get it

Notable changes - a new unison mode - try the stock solo
lead patch with two voices, and the second oscillator
pitched up 7 semitones (a perfect fifth) - it's wankfest
paradise!

There's also a fix for the arpeggio drift - I'm assuming
they mean in Cubase because it didn't drift in FL.

Some other stuff - I'm still exploring -

This thing kicks the stuffing out of just about any virtual
synth stuff Native Instruments has released, both in terms
of sound and in terms of CPU efficiency. I still respect NI
for Kontakt though. Oh and free, you can't beat free.

Like the builtin arpeggio function of the synth is supposed
to sync to a fraction or multiple of the master tempo, and
if it doesn't it slowly gets ahead of or behind the beat.

jeeeeezus I spoke too soon, he did something bad to the
chorus, and he took all the SKREEE out of the high end and
when you crank the FM it doesn't get STANKY anymore.

stick with 1.05a

please kill me

Oh i see, I've never done any real midi sequencing yet, so
i'm still kind of learning the problems inherent in it..
I've heard midi syncing with arps can be a biotch though.

Well with a hardware synth at least there are usually some
settings for master sync source, but with a soft synth it
seems it either works or it doesn't. The real nutty thing is
1.05a would sync its LFOs to cubase but not the arp.
Maddening! I think that's when I got into FL Studio instead
of Cubase. FL: It Just Works.

hehe, I've got both, but yeah from my experience FL seems to
be a little more user friendly, and from what I'm hearing I
guess it works better too.
