Since the last tracks on that CD were completed I've done another track called "water (demo)" that I think is pretty good, but that is on xltronic vibes 7 (so everyone should have it ;).
The only other one I've ULed (I'll put it back up now) was made as a birthday present for Tibbar. The other stuff is mainly long ambient tracks too big for Zebox to accept (I should get around to putting them on my mp3.com site). I've got a couple of new Illbient pieces too, but I don't like them enough to UL them.
Other than that I've got a load of drum and bass tracks (which will probably be released autumn/winter next year, one way or another) which I want to master properly before I make extracts of them available.
I've started a new resolution to finish at least 10 (this is the first) of the 200 or so unfinished tracks on my HD before starting any new ones, so I should have some more stuff to UL soon.
If you've got horsePiano you've probably already got "Vanilla Hub"?

Vanilla Hub is now available at my MP3.com site.
There's also another old track there (a remix of a track by Flea) called "UTFM (Quenched Mix)", the full name of which is Unquenchable Thirst For Milk (Quenched Mix). I know you're not a fan of V. Snares type stuff so you may not like this.

I recommend Silo ATp2003 mix... the other stuff is pretty dated, just put up for titsworth. If you like any particular tracks let me know and I'll put similair ones up for you. I think I did check out one of your tracks a while back, but I've not heard any of your recent stuff. I'll go and add em to my favourites and check 'em out tommorow night.
Tibbar, I'm glad you like it... I must admit it does find its way into my "sleeping" playlists with alarming regularity. :)

Cheers mate :)
I did the synth line about a month ago and was really pleased with it... was considering having it purely as a SAW2 type thing, but I stumbled across a breakbeat that seemed to fit it and I re-arranged it, added a drum machine, generally fiddled etc. to get it as it is.

Tibbar: Yes, the end bit is my favourite too... took almost as long sorting out the last 2 bars as the whole of the rest of the track.
Oddioblender: Its a slightly EQed violin, playing flats and sharps- hence the oriental sound :)
I'm off to bed now guys, but feel free to post any comments and I'll check in tommorow.
Thanks to the folks who listened!

tibbar's birthday snooze is beautiful.. i can even hear some breathing (snoozing?), too, nice touch
your new trip-hop track is beautiful too.. the drum patterns are a little bland and the synth strings are a bit too early massive attack-ish but as a whole it works well and i like it.. nice mark snow x-files-ish little sounds

very nice man
I like the melodies and chords
good choice of sounds too
the panning on the drum kinda does my head in... its kind of akward imo... (esp with headphones).
but then again, im not a big fan of hard pans... makes a part sound empty sort of. I dunno.
But I also like the last little drum outro at the end... unpexted, but pleasent
now, I think you just need a tight bassline.
I think it would really tighten up the track and make it more dynamic.
But its very good! These are just my personal ideas...
Cheers mate!

Bump for the "day people" and to answer questions :)
Tibbar: Yes, I sort of finished it quickly so I could give it to you for your BD and intended to go back to it and do another mix of it, but I like this version too much now and don't wanna change it :)
Titsworth: Tibbar's Birthday Snooze - Without wishing to sound smug, I made all the sounds in it from one synth patch running in series through an fx chain, even the breathing/snoring comes from the same bit as the melody. It wasn't an accident either... I tried to get it to "snore" and succeded :D
Marlowe: Thank you for the in depth comments... Perhaps I should consider turning down the cymbal volume? :P
X-tomatic: Cheers man! I've been doing computer/electronic music for about 5 years on an off, but I started doing it "seriously" (as in how often I do it, not how much pride I have in it!) almost exactly two years ago. Unfortunatley, all my stuff prior to those two years was lost so all my early noodlings are not around anymore :(
Zeus: Yes, the panning on the drums is something I was unsure of. It does annoy me a bit on 'phones, but I like it on speakers. The panning on them was originally a lot harder (it's now in about 1/5 of the stereo range it pans...) Cheers for the comment about the bassline, I'm intending to do at least one remix of it so maybe it'll find it's way in there! BTW, what does "christ. gotta lay off the hard stuff" refer to? You been doing coke before listening to tracks again? ;)
Dozier: The remix should take care of the "length problem" (oo er missus!)
It occurs to me that I still haven't gotten around to recording (or even scoring)vanilla hub as a 3 part violin piece. My only mate who's any cop at violin is an idle git and agreed to help do it about a year ago... I can play myself, but I haven't for about 8 years so I may be a little rusty to say the least.
Thanks for your listening and comments guys, much appreciated!

It's called Pharzyde, it's one that comes with Reason. The version of it in my track sounds very little like it... it's all pitched up, re-arranged, fxed etc. (so much so that I had to check the altai file to check the name- the pharzde break on it's own sounds v. different)

Nice and kinda BOCish! Maybe the string patch and the drums sound a little too raw the way they're mixed clean and upfront compared to the other sounds which are muted and effect-heavy.

Oddioblender: Track comments as promised!
Vladimir's Chopshop I think this was my favourite of the tracks... the intro was nicely reminiscent of traditional folk (although it's russian it made me think of an English medieval bard). The rhytm of the accompanying percussion was good, but I felt the sound to short (sounds almost like speaker click) and oddly flat. Other than that I like everything about the track. Especially the chemical brothers style acidy "forward and back" synth later on in the track that almost sounds like scratching (records).
Average Joe I'm not a fan of military music anyway, but I felt the rhythm of the main melody was too repetative for a track this long.
Joe Vs The Machine Part one Dunno why, but I only got the first 8 seconds of this... unless you're doing a "horsePiano" (see Titsworth's comment further up the thread) something has gone wrong here :-/ Still, it's a good intro and makes me think of an imminent boss battle in a videogame.
